Vamo is my vote as well. Can't beat the versatility is size and all the bells and whistles that come with it.

As said before, chipset on the LT2 is exactly the same as the Vamo without the VW.
Seems like a waste of time to remove the best feature of the vamo... as to the price, it'll come down. When the original lava tube was launched I remember everyone going on about how good a value it was even with its flaws. A little looking back finds a review with the mod only price at 69.99. Now they can be had for less than $30

I have a theory about the lack of VW in the LT2 - I would say a V3 will get a release in a couple months, that'll have VW.

I've heard of the Vamo having some meltdown issues if the kit comes with flat end battery's instead of button batts. There is a loss in connection and the buttons appear to keep the connection tight, so if you do purchase a Vamo, make sure the batts have buttons. That's the only bad thing i've heard. I've thought about buying one myself, but I'm still waiting for more info to come out first. Tho it may be inexpensive, will it last, or will it melt...rather wait until they fix the bugs. Now, the eVic is exciting and I can't wait to get mine...co-op style...
It's about the extra length the button top gives. It may not be much but every bit helps with the single 18650 configuration.
Depends on the size of your 18650 too. Mine are 65mm and I simply stretched the.bottom spring to make it even more snug.
