Hey guys, I just got my first Reo in the mail today. A silver vein mini 2.1 to be exact. Unfortunately I'm still at work and haven't got to try it out yet though. I'm just curious what's gonna be the best build for it? I know everything is subjective, but I'm looking to walk in the door this evening, coil and wick this baby and vape, vape, vape! Thanks ahead of time for your suggestions!

You're going to get a lot of recommendations for a microcoil, which I would endorse - 1/16", 8 wraps of 28 gauge kanthal gets you ~1.0 ohms. Wicked with cotton of some sort (organic balls or pads).

As for placement in the RM2, you want the coil as close to the outer edge as possible without shorting on the cap and exactly positioned in front (back?) of the air hole.

Get ready for flavour like you've never experienced before with this setup.

And, oh yeah, welcome to the 'Ville :toast:

Pics. We simply must see some pics.

Try a 1 ohm coil and work from there. I don't know what gauge wire you have so I can't tell you how many wraps.
BTW Welcome to the mad house of happy vapers. Congrats on the Mini. We do need pix or it didn't happen.

Thanks! Glad to be a part of Reoville! I'll post pics as soon as I get home and get her set up! Looking forward to gettin to know all you guys.

HAHAHAHA.....and to continue the trend of different coil suggestions......

28 gauge parallel coil wrapped 3 wraps on a Q-Tip shaft wicked with ReadyXWick. .45 ohms of kick ayuss power.

For a quicker coil to get it rocking, I would agree with the 1/16" diameter wraps wicked with cotton. Once you have a second RM2, you can play with other coil builds while still vaping on your primary RM2.

A .8ohm - 1.1ohm coil, 1/16" ID, 28awg coil is always an easy winner, and a good place to start. Like papa said place it centered and as close to the air hole as you can get it, adjust the coil up vertically to get more TH, and lower for less. The stock air hole may be a little restricting, if it is you can spin a pocket knife around the hole it will open it up little by little (you can always go larger, but you cant go smaller)

Personally I run a .55ohm, 3mm ID, 3 wrap "ugly coil", using Mundy's Magic wire and it is pretty epic. I also wick with RxW. I haven't found anything that beats it. Not exactly a wrap-one-up-real-quick coil though....

So here she is! Got her coiled at 1.0 ohms. 28g kanthal around a 1/16 drill bit. So far I'm liking it, but to be honest, I'm not getting anywhere near the flavor I get from my magma and clouper dna30. Any suggestions? Or is the flavor I was hoping for just setting too high of expectations for the Reo?

What size/ohm coils are you running in your magma? How many watts you pushing it?

You may just need to adjust of you are used to a hotter vape.

No No you can give here a name....Joe Carroll = Bad guy from a TV show my wife watches...I am not sure it even comes on anymore. "The Following" Emma was a loyal follower.....lol

Not every day you find a Cowboys fan in Va much less one that is willing to admit it in public.....lol

I'm using a 1.3ohm coil, not sure the exact diameter, it's wrapped around one of the leads on my multi meter. I'm pushing it at 16 watts. So it's not a hot vape at all, just very flavorful.

Then a 1ohm should be right in the wheel house. Show us a pic of the inside. Coil position and wick make a big difference.

Having a hard time getting a good picture.. Looks like the wick is covering the hole, but I left a gap underneath it, so it doesn't have it clogged like it looks. Also I used the o ring given to be able to adjust the air hole to place is directly in line with the coil.

I'm a Cowboy's fan! Always have been. Loved the good days ('93 - '97 - Aikman, Emit, Moose, Irvin, and etc.). Boy's just kicked ayusss! Also like the Dallas Stars. Have met Mike Modano in Nashville. Very cool guy.

Currently, I like the Boy's and Stars. But gotta support my TN teams as well in the Titans and Predators. :)
Don't know which I like better -- Football or Hockey.
