Hello, I realise I have posted a similar topic to this before, but I want to discuss buying new gear to be safe. I am new to RDAs but have had sub ohm tanks before I don't know much about electronics either so bare this in mind.

I have recently purchased a Dead Rabbit rda, I was just wondering what mod, batteries and coil wire would be best for this. I've considered buying LOST VAPE THERION DNA75C BOX MOD and Reuleaux RX GEN3 but I really don't know. Staying safe is my main priority. So if anyone could help me out I would appreciate it. Many thanks

Of those two mods I would call the therion preferable, though the price is also comensurately higher. Iirc the therion is a two battery mod, so you can get into the 100w range with regular ol 20 amp batteries which is more than most people would reasonably want anyway. It’s a VV/VW mod so you don’t have to worry nearly as much about coil safety since if your setup is unsafe the mod simply won’t fire

AFAIK the only Lost Vape mods that are single battery and squonkers are the Therion and the Drone. Therion is significantly less fugly than the Drone, and has a bunch of different pleather finishes too.

RX Gen3 for sure. ArcticFox with NToolbox lets me adjust safety limits like the puff cut-off timer, system-wide power output limit, and voltage cut-off. Watt for watt, choosing a mod with an increased number of batteries will also increase the safety, as the amp load will be divided over more batteries, and increases the efficiency of the batteries as a bonus. Vaping at low enough watts on just a single battery, provided that you choose the right battery and you follow all the usual safety guidelines of course, does not inherently pose a too high risk. But that doesn't mean you can't increase the safety further. The lower you go below the CDR, the more safety, and, increasing the number of batteries is one easy way to achieve that.

That said, personally, I, love ArcticFox/NToolbox for the fact it has an incredibly user-friendly approach to editing/adjusting power curves (in ArticFox, power curves are enabled by setting the 'Preheat Type' to 'Curve' and then selecting a Curve that, in NToolbox, you can edit beforehand). Unlike EScribe, etc., the curves in ArcticFox are made up of percentage numbers, which means the power output numbers that result from the curve are automatically, and conveniently, scaled relative to the wattage you set on the mod. With EScribe you'd have to keep futzing around with all the numbers, time after time after time. That IMO is why a DNA mod is useless for the price.
