This is now my favorite 19mm tank. It looks like a prive clone, it's even called a Prive tank, but beside the teardrop and dot machining it is different than the KirFanis Prive tank. The caps are different in almost all dimensions. I didn't like it when I first got it(came with a ProVari I bought from someone on Craigslist) because I thought It was just a clone but after using it for a few weeks I like it better than the KirFanis Prive because:

1. No fill hole screw. None to lose and none to get in the way of most DT's
2. Thick Quartz Glass Tank. Huge plus to me.
3. Bottom cap matches the diameter of the ProVari taper better. KirF tank is wider than the top of the Provari taper.

ETA: The only problem is if you break the glass I don't think you can get another. :( Also, it costs almost as much as a Kirf Prive.

That's got to be the Avid Prive, right? You could contact them about extra glass...

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
i assume zoe is bipolar since she mentioned being in a manic state and is now depressed. i am also bipolar, and mania/depression is not something you can snap out of. you have to ride the waves. and of course stress always makes things worse

^^THIS

I am, indeed, bipolar and it's definitely a matter of carefully paying attention to the waves and jumping on the "up" ones if and when they come. Sometimes they're just little ones and you manage to accomplish a shower and that's all. Sometimes it's much larger and can pull you completely out of the abyss. The thing is, there's no way to make anything happen. Meds keep the waves from being too extreme and more to a functioning ratio but nothing can fix the problem completely.

It sucks but it's my life. I'm way better now that I know what it is and what I have to do to live with it. Before it was just a crazy rollercoaster that would end up with me in jail or in the hospital. Now I'm actually sort of "normal"...lol

OK gang, this will be a test of your patience and tolerance of a newbie. I'm not nearly as advanced as you folks; I'm 2 months only into vaping but I'm one of those weirdos who always tries to find the best gear sooner than later... figuring that as I learn more, I can grow into it. I'm probably out of order on my learning curve, and need some help please if you could.

I have the gear as shown in my signature below - newbie stuff. I am still hunting for fave liquids. I've been reading all over this forum and trying to learn as fast as possible, but I realize that I don't fully understand the acronyms etc.

I WANT big battery capacity, and although my MPV does that job, I'm hating most of the toppers I've tried. Various problems, even with the ProTank IIs - leaking, gurgling etc. I want to solidify my base battery unit and have lots of options with it, and for that the Provari looks like an excellent choice.

I don't use cartos nor drippers. I don't know how, and don't think I want to get into those at the moment. I am having trouble following the tank options described on this thread, because I don't know the acronyms well enough :( So I'm trying to sort out the various recommendations I've seen from you experts, that apply to just putting e-liquid into a tank -- NOT a carto-tank (if I understand correctly, I TOLD you I'm a newb, a "carto-tank" is a tank that has a cotton or whatever-fabric wadding inside the center, as opposed to wicks outside -- apologies for probably not using correct terminology)

I've tried to watch utube and other descriptive videos or threads that sort these things out and save me from asking dumb questions like this, but honestly I haven't found anything that helps a newbie-trying-to-rise-to-better-gear out of the abyss.

In summary, could one of you patient and kind people either point me to a learning place that would help on this issue, or maybe just filter out your wisdom to suggest what toppers would be right for a soon-to-be-Provari-buyer who just wants to dump liquid into a tank, for now?

Thanks in advance! This stuff is highly specialized y'all, and pretty intimidating for the newcomer. I'm trying my hardest. My life depends on vaping, and I care a lot about getting it right -- I was a super-heavy smoker for 4 decades, and I need to make vaping reliable and pleasant without messing around with stupid avoidable problems. I don't ever ever want to go back to smoking.

dark gear - Nice tank, that may be something i look at getting, but i really like the snp too. so many options! lol

zoe-i agree with you. for me, the meds just help even things out enough to function. all they really do is keep me out of the hospital or jail. i know not experimenting with certain things has helped keep me fairly stable. if you know what i mean.

You sound like me. I was the same way starting out. Look up forum member Baditude. Read his blogs. If you have any other questions about tanks or batteries, we'll help you out!

Edit: I'm on my phone at the moment, so if someone else could post the links?

here's one of them, probably a good place to start:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-carto-tank-what-guide-juice-attachments.html

baditude blogs are a great source of information. they can be found here: E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs

please don't be afraid to ask any and all questions that may come to mind! best of luck!

I get what you're looking for - here are a couple thoughts.

1) ProTank isn't bad, and you may want to try to figure out what's causing the leaks and gurgles. There are a LOT of threads about trouble with ProTanks - but most issues are solveable, and then a ProTank MIGHT be a fine topper for a ProVari. SOME of them get their air cut off a little - like 1 out of 3 (kanger isn't consistent with airhole placement).

2) The next, simplest solution IS the Carto-Tank. I know you seem to think they are complex, but it's close to "dump in the juice" - with the one added step of "priming" a carto when you need a new one. A carto-tank is a Cartomizer you slide INTO a tank.

3) Some people may recommend some other clearomizers or glassomizers - that will work similar to a ProTank. They may have good recommendations - I know the ProTank best though...

I have a similar tank, but it's got the top fill hole (with teeny loseable screw- I pop the cap anyway).
