I think I've decided to put a fill hole on the top cap of the caps I'm designing for my personal tanks. That would be extremely handy, I think.

You know, I thought the exact same thing til I got the prive tank. The first time I tried to refill, I lost the screw and spend 1/2 an hour crawling around the floor in a panic looking for it. Heck with that, never used it again. There's another tank... forgot which one, that had a press in metal button fill hole. I don't have that tank, but the reviewers said it was a great feature.

But... I'm pretty sure I'd lose that too if it wasn't attached the tank. The problem is, the tanks themselves are just too small, and the fill hole cap would be proportionately smaller. If it's small, and removeable, it can get lost. If it can get lost, I will lose it. If I can lose it, I don't like it, and won't use it. If I don't use it, I don't even want a tank with that feature, because I will somehow knock it off the tank one day, or break it, and then can't use the tank itself. Not sure how others see it, but that was my thought after I got a carto tank that had a fill hole...

Here's an interesting thing... the Steam Turbine has a fill hole inside the top cover, next to the wire mesh holes that is just open. No top, no nothing, just a hole. I thought at the time... how dumb is this? Juice will just pour out of it.... but it DOESN"T.

I did get a drop of leakage laying it on the side uncovered... but it doesn't leak at all when shaken upside down. I have NO IDEA why... it's not a vaccume because the wire mesh holes are not sealed, the wire mesh poles only mostly fill them, so technically it's got 3 open holes, with a whole tank of juice below the holes. It defies my comprehension.

Well, you know it's all just a big experiment until I find what works the best for me...lol It's all on paper at this stage, anyway.

I'm having so many issues lately I'm wondering what the future will hold. I barely make it from one day to the next.

That's just me, Zoe... the Prive and the other one... was it SnP??? Are HUGE hits and favorites for lots of people. And normal people are careful with their stuff... I'm not so careful, which is ironic since my favorite things are breakables:). LOL! That, and I overthink everything. But just today, I managed to break the screwed-in cover of a leather USB drive. How did I manage that? I don't know... it rubbed off in my purse. I found the screw in my purse luckily, so I could put it back together again... but that's luck. I could have dropped it on the ground too. If something can come apart, it tends to come apart. So my overwhelming preference is for things that are so securely attached, or so simple, there's less chance of parts falling off or breaking.

But remember... I'm the only person on this forum who has expressed interest in buying a 5lb PV... LOL! Lots of people would buy a screwed in refill cap, and PREFER a screwed in refill cap!

I'm so unambitious these past couple of months since the depression hit I really don't do much more than load a Phiniac or an Evod and vape. I've got so much excess juice and gear and parts and then all the stuff my imagination made me buy when I was at the top of my manic wave....I'm drowning in it all. Worst part is the cabinet I bought to put it all in has had its delivery pushed back yet AGAIN until January so it's all just sitting around here, in my way.

Actually, that might be part of my problem. I'm drowning in "stuff" and stuff I have to do.

The SnP is different in that there's no screw cap for the hole - the entire top turns, and it uncovers the hole.
Which is pretty cool...
I have a Prive, and I don't use the fill hole half the time - if I don't happen to have the right juice in a needle-tip bottle, I fill it like any other tank.

For both though, you HAVE to have your juice in a bottle with a needle. You can't JAM something thicker in the hole, 'cause some air has to get OUT of the hole, too. Otherwise, you're pressurizing your tank, and forcing the carto to flood...

Oops - correction. The SnP is the one that has TWO holes - specifically to deal with that "air must get out" issue.
You do spin the top to open both holes - as I said, cool concept. Might want one.

Two tanks that I just love ~ One with two holes (sealable) on the top and the other with one below (Plugged - and how very dangerous!) ~ both look gr8 and perform phenomenally nonetheless.

Something, if you haven't used, wouldn't know!

Yah... when you have tooooo much to do, make a list, and do only 1 thing at a time. Once you make the list, FORGET the list, and pick and choose the things off the list based on what you feel like doing. Then do it. It will get all done if you keep at it, one at a time. The BEST part is, as you get it done, you will feel really proud of yourself cuz you 'completed' it. Then immediately pick another thing:). Once you get used to the idea that you are proud of yourself, it may be easier and easier to do each item on the list. Just don't find anything else to do til the items on the list are gone:).

My spot too.
I got a bunch of new stuff, and can't buy more YET!!!
Like I swiped another Kir Fanis tank from the Classies - a "Trap Tank" - but I haven't filled it, because I KNOW I only want to use it with a ring - and the rings aren't here yet!!
LOL

You know, I was curious about that... they use 3x fused quartz, meaning it's been fused 3x, not 3mm thick (1.5 is correct). Fused quartz has a lower coefficiency of expansion (less crackable from temperature), higher melting temperature, and potentially even more optically clear than borosilicate... but none of these are necessary in a juice tank. It's not more shock proof if you throw it at concrete or swing it at a wall, which is the important thing. But I guess that's why they sell the sleeve, which is what the Steam Turbine is....

The SnP are beautiful tanks tho, but at $20 for a plain tank replacement... ouch.

BTW it's $20 for two tanks, or only $10 a piece, which is definitely more reasonable. At $20 a piece I probably would have not replaced six of them. Remember that the setup comes with 3 tanks in it. Since I added the Prothingy at the bottom, I haven't broken one again, knock on wood. Still my favorite tank. The bottles that I bought to fill my kayfun work perfectly on the SnP. I can refill my tank in under 5 seconds. Me likee! YMMV.

That doesn't help when there's a deadline and I can't even do ONE thing.

Can you find some help? If it's work related, maybe another freelancer, so you can maintain customer relations? Sometimes you just have to pull it together and just do it...

No, it's part of my "issue" and the holidays are just exasperating it.

Zoe... sometimes if you can't help yourself, you NEED to find someone who can help you. No one knows better than you what you need. Pull yourself out of your slump and either get help, or just grit your teeth and fix it/quit it/snap out of it. You can do it!
