best temp mode?

So i just got the sx mini g class and want to start getting into temp mode. I'm looking for reconditions for tanks that have coils in nickel or ss

Nickel and Titanium are both earlier TC wires; the earliest TC mods could sometimes only do Ni, then Nickel and Titanium, then Stainless. Now some do it all. Of the three, stainless is the most modern option and arguably the best; the range of coils available in SS and its general popularity reflect that.

I would personally recommend just going with stainless. People certainly like and use Nickel and Titanium, but SS can be vaped in both wattage and temp modes and simply has a lot of benefits over the other two. Nickel especially can be very "fiddly" and difficult to get a good vape from. If you struggle to get a satisfying vape with an SS coil in TC mode, you can always switch over to wattage for a bit.

Tons and tons and tons of tanks have SS coils, and plenty have nickel and Titanium coils as well. Actually, I'd say the majority of subtanks have at least one TC coil option now. A few do not. It would be helpful if you were a little more specific about what you're looking for in a tank besides some kind of TC coils. Clouds? Flavor? Capacity? Something else?

Since you can build, why not use an RTA like the OBS Engine? There are lots of options and it would save you tons of money. In addition, you have exact control over the resistance of the coils, wire used, and cotton used. RDTAs would give you another option. I've always found tanks that have no RBA option risky as you can buy a pack of 5 coils and 2 are duds. Happened to me more than once. With an RTA, you just rewick and off you go. If you have your heart set on buying coils, find a tank that offers stainless steel. It also happens to be the easiest wire to work with in building.

I started on the tfv4 and moved up through the 12 and love it. I always had rdas laying around so can build decently well. Does the tfv12 have tc coil options? i looked and couldn't find any

There is an RBA for the 12 that you could build on for TC if you want. I don't know if it's included with the tank, or is purchased separately.
