Best throat hit??

I have the standard 510 e cig, just wondering if better throat hit is out there without using a mod? No money for that, yet

not a mod but hook that 510 on to an ego Batt, just got ten and they rock, much better than a small reg e-cig batt

Throat hit could be enhanced if you use a passthrough connected to a USB port. The additional voltage will help increase throat hit.

If you're going to buy an eGo battery, spend the extra $9 for the cone/shroud which alters (lessens) the air flow and increases the TH. But, be advised that you also need to buy the eGo charger also. Some have reported that charging the eGo battery via standard 510 means has been met unsatisfactorily -- as in much shorter life span.

I'm not sure that buying all those eGo accessories is the right way to go about improving TH given the cost, which is your issue? An eGo set would prove to be cheaper in the long run.

There are other (less expensive) ways to improve TH. Increasing nicotine level is one, adding PGA is another. Some liquids of the same nic content just hit harder than others -- menthols, or adding menthol crystals to your liquid for example.

Along with the accurate info that Richie provided above I would also add that if cost is the only thing stopping you from wanting to use a mod you could also look into building your own HV mod as it is usually quite cheap to do. There are plenty of places you can get the stuff to do so but the one I would suggest checking out to see what you'd be getting into is MadVapes LLC as they carry the parts and provide diagrams for building. Also check out the Modders Forum here on ECF.

Well, according to the replies, it sounds like higher voltage is what you need. You could also try some high voltage attys for the 510. Check out what Drew has at Welcome to NHaler!

HV atomizers have higher resistances and, therefore, would decrease throat hit, but, potentially, increase atomizer life at higher voltages.
