I like all my VV PVs but my favorite right now is the one in my avatar

I have to agree with Kabonk. I like variable voltage box mods the best, although I think the one in the avatar is a bottom feeder?

Right now I am loving my VV SmokBox from smoktek. SmokTek "SmokBox VariCool" - Custom variable volt Box Mod - Efficient switching regulator! adjustable 3,4,5,6.5 volt's & everything between.

Pros: It is lightweight. Easy to hold. Has a horn button in the middle that is easy to press. Uses just about any 14500 batteries. Easily adjustable voltage from 3 to 7 volts. Priced well. Less than 1/3 the price of a Provari.

Cons: There are no instructions with it and none really on the site. Maybe a video, but I never have the patience for watching a 5 minute video when I could read the same thing in 30 seconds. You have to slip down the back cover to adjust it. I would rather have a thumbscrew on the outside of the box.

If there had been good instructions, I wouldn't have wrecked my first SmokBox. Now that I know how to treat it, this one should last a good long time.

Very cool, thank you all, for the input.
I like the egoT for the size and portability... but have realized it's shortcomings. When I'm on the move, I like having something that slips in and out of my pocket. Without it looking like a mag flashlight in my pants.
I think the provari mini is getting ordered next week.
& a month after that, the smokbox! for @ home.

+1 for the Darwin, even with a kick which can be used to simulate a Darwin, nothing beats the real thing. The best thing about it is that it puts a stop to the endless hardware people buy because there is nothing comparable to even think about picking up, unless it's another Darwin as a backup.

The Darwin sure looks nice, but the battery is not user replaceable. That's ridiculous, IMHO.

I'm very pleased with my eGo Twist batteries. Makes for the smallest VV unit I've seen. I carried mine at work yesterday and while it's larger than my normal (a 650 mah eGo), it still fit in my pocket pretty well. For home use I could care less how big or bulky a PV is - for work I have to have something that drops comfortably in my pocket and doesn't weigh a ton...
