Hi Deana

For me personally, warranty is not a big issue. Certainly I would want, and expect a supplier to replace DOA items promptly and at their cost. Beyond that, I look at all parts as disposables. If you get even a few weeks out of a battery or atomizer, the life is going to vary greatly depending on how it's taken care by the user and not sure an $8 or $10 item can reasonably be expected to withstand whatever abuse is accorded it for much longer than that. I never got a replacement for the Camel Lights that I burned up "the first day" :) or the Bic lighters for that matter (we need a Zippo PV)

Any additional warranty that was available and wort the return hassle to me would be appreciated but probably not a deciding factor in my choice of vendors.

Shipping is another matter entirely. It greatly adds to the true cost of vaping. I have personally bought from, and recommended others to, what I knew were lesser quality products, but when they were shipping free, they came out to half the price of better supplies. I think the USPS is making more money on ecigs than anyone......maybe they will help in our battle to keep ecigs legal.

As always....just my :2c:

I am looking into a 510 warranty. What is the average warranty out there? We are trying to stay competitive. Also tell me about better shipping deals. We want to be able to give everyone what they want and I know shipping is a huge deal.

Thanks all!

probably a 30 day warranty would be much appreciated and a first class shipping option, especially for small items like backup batteries and attys.:vapor:

I know why they do it, because using (free) flat rate materials makes it much easier for a vendor, to just toss the stuff in the box already knowing the shipping rate. Using methods like first class requires the vendors to have scales and such to be accurate with shipping costs, and its more work. now im not knocking vendors for doing this and i know why they do it, its convenience ( i do it with my ebay store) but yes it would be appreciated by a vendor to have that option.

Aloha Deana!

For me, and for many others imo, warranty is a non-issue. In the grand scheme of things, its such a small-ticket item compared to other household items like refrigerators, washer/dryers, computers, flat panel TV's, etc, etc. Heck, my order for a 510 kit with spare attys, carts, and juices was well below a carton of cigarettes in Hawaii ($70-$80/ctn for name brands).

So warranty is not going to be a deal-breaker.

Shipping, however, can be a deal-maker. Many vendors offer purchase thresholds where shipping is free. Believe me, most members are aware of and take advantage them.

What is very important for members is cs. Newbies join daily and ask for advice about where to get stuff...and members have their favorite "go to" suppliers, and its all based on good cs. They get recommended often, and rightfully so if they give great service.

Just some of my thoughts.
