I just got some CE3 bottom coils, and so far the only way I've seen someone get the top plug out (youtube) was to use the syringe tip. I'd like to avoid doing this if possible, I don't want to do anything that might enlarge the fill hole. What other ways can this be done? I'd like to be able to get the ring out before pulling the tube off, although I have seen the tube pulled off before popping out the plug on youtube.

Thanks.

The easiest and best way is with the syringe needle. There is no way to grab it. the only other way you might be able to get it out is by wiggling the center tube until it comes loose then pull that out, but I would worry about damaging the rubber seal even more. I take mine out every 3 days and refill at least twice a day, and mine have lasted about a month.

The best way to put it back in is with the back of the needle. It is almost the same width and seats it perfectly.

You can always get replacement seals at gotvapes, but I think they are sold out right now.

http://www.dfwvapor.com/ecig-repair-tools.html has one of these tools....and its on sale apparently.
I find that paper clips will do just about anything.
See Mroutlaw's post above.
While duct tape might be a good carto cover, the tried and true paper clip is useless for the bottom coil CE3.
The needle is the only way I've seen other than removing the tube. There's nothing to grab with a paper clip.

hahaha! That's been my tool of choice for fluxomizers, I'm just ...... I bought one when it wasn't on sale :(

The fill hole for the bc ce3 is about 21 gauge. A paper clip is 2 to 3 times the width, it would destroy the fill hole and thus the juice would leak out the bottom for lack of a vacuum

No worries there, I wouldn't use a paper clip on these. I wary of widening the hole by stressing it with the syringe tip ;)

i'M A newbie but watched a youtube video on you tube from some gal with purple nailpolish from Down Under
It was pretty darn good, she used bent-ends tweezers, no talking just music in the video.

At least, I think she was cleaning a CE of some sort. It had a silocone plug in it.....

I think I've seen that one. If it's the one I'm thinking of she was working on a CE4 (stardust)

I pull the tube off before removing the top plug, always have. Then I use a Q tip to push out the top plug.Works great and no chance of damaging the plug.

Marty

I do the same. I wiggle the plastic tube of the vase, and then push the plug out of the tube with a pencil.
