Never used a Joye 510, but I just got a Joye Ego and I love it. The battery life is very good! I ordered all the gadgets at once so I could try them all without having to reorder. The Mega Cartomizer is awesome. It holds 2mL of juice and wicks really well. I tend to take about 3 big hits in a row and the cart/atty combo doesn't cut it for me (burnt atty yuck!). Dripping seems to work better. I have a V4L long battery that is also great. Also with cartomizers that are easy for me to use.

If you already have 510 atomizers, the eGo is a good choice for longer battery life. The eGo battery will work fine with your 510 attys. As for more juice capacity, in addition to the new line of eGo-specific stuff, there's the 510 mega cartridge, which will, AFAIK, also work with the std. 510 atty, though it might look a bit funny, since it's longer than a std. 510 cartridge. There are also 510 mega atomizers, which are a bit longer, and intended to go with the 510 mega cartridges.

So what you are saying is that the ego and the 510 parts are completely interchangeable. So I can just buy the ego battery and add it to my 510.

Yes, but you will also need the eGo charger as you can't charge the eGo batt with a 510 charger and vise versa.

There is an adapter for a 510 to eGo batt but I've heard it takes forever to charge it that way.

You'll probably also want a cone for it. There is some debate over whether the cone makes a difference or not. I personally find that it is much more enjoyable with the cone than without.

Yeah, and you also need the charger, because you're current charger isn't going to cut it with the larger eGo batteries.
And you should also get the eGo cone while you're at it.

The Ego, Riva and Hello are going to put you in the same ballpark on battery life with the Hello edging them out due to the larger batt. All 3 are compatible with 510 parts. The hello has the atomizer and cone built together so unless you want to continue getting the proprietary cone/atty you won't get the sleek look of the others using just a 510 atty, still for battery life alone if that's you're priority, it's the best choice.

The Ego and Riva will give a sleeker look as you can use the cone with a reg 510 atty and still have excellent batt life. Ego has higher mah batteries out now also which will put them very close to spec with the Hello. I've read Riva was coming out with a higher MAH battery but haven't seen any of those yet.

You can charge an eGo battery on a std 510 charger. Yes, it takes longer, and you do need the extender tube to use the std 510 wall charger. I occasionally charge my eGoXL on a std 510 USB charger, which works without the extender tube because it has a wider opening for the battery connector.

Here are my two cents:

If you want to beef up your 510 a bit, you can't go wrong with an eGo. I enjoy mine very much.

However, if you are looking for a regular ecig that is better than a 510, I would suggest a 902. It has all the vapor of a 510, with much better taste and TH. I got one recently based on a review I read, and I've been pleasantly surprised. I've been a 510 user for a very long time, and the 902 is just better in every way except price. The atomizers can be just a little more expensive than a 510 atomizer. You can buy a 902 at ModernVapor, or Revolver has them with the name Infiniti Ion.

Yes, eGo. I started with a 510 then 'Upgraded' it to an ego. Buy 2 ego batteries, 1 cone, and fast usb charger and your 510 is now an ego. Standard 650mah ego battery will give yo 6-12 hours depending on how much you vape. I would recommend the ego mega battery. There is a 900 and 1000 mah available. I have the 900 and it can last up to 24 hours (counting sleep period). I would also recommend the ego mega Cart and atty or mega carto. The mega cart hold 2+ ml of juice and the mega atty performs much better than the standard 510 because of a larger bridge and coil. I have an eGoo with mega 900mah battery, mega cylinder atty and mega cart and it is awesome!
