Hi everyone! I'm new to vaping and love it so far! I bought a double kit of the EGo-T. I've since reordered some juice and then found they don't work with the plastic atomizer that came with them, they suggest glass. Can anyone rec a cheap site to try a glass one? Don't want to spend a fortune, just want to try one first and see how it goes. I'd appreciate any help! Thank you!!

Hi all! So I'm using protanks and miniprotanks with my MVP2 and generally I love them. Recently, though, I got some juices that taste great when I'm dripping and taste like nothing at all in my mini protanks. I've tried replacing the coil units, but I'm out of ideas. Is there a better model of tank for getting better flavor or should I just accept that dripping is always going to provide better flavor?

Thanks for your help!

Maggie :)

Accept that drippers provide better flavor ... they always have, and they always will. As far as clearo/glassomizer types, the clearo that gives better flavor than a Mini PT is the Evod, which is also made by Kangertech. There are other clearos that "overall" perform a bit better than the Mini PT (Aspire ET-S Mini glassomizer) but it doesn't give better flavor, just a smoother, quieter, more consistent vape IMO.

Hi Maggie :)

Thank you for your quick reply!! I am happy with my Ego-T, really like it! It just figures I'd get some flavors that end up not doing well with the plastic tanks (sorry, dont have the lingo down yet!) So, are the Evo a drip like I have, or are they different? Do you know where I can get them reasonably priced? And it figures I just ordered 5 new plastic ones on Ebay, but they were like $3 so no biggie, sure I can use them down the line :) Appreciate your help!

1....Check out the New Kanger Aero tank. Dual coil glass clearomizer with adjustable airflow dial. Being released in January.

2.... Cotton wicks are nice on the pro tank, but that juice goes quick IMO.

3... Try an Aspire dual bottom coil. It's harder to clean the heads but the warm thick flavorful vape is much better than the Pro tank 2 In my opinion.

I actually used to take out the flavor wicks and add a thin layer of organic cotton instead. Try it, its quite a impressive experience lol.

I now rebuild my gf's Protank with organic cotton only, and a small thin layer on cotton of the coil as a "flavor wick".

I recently got bored and made a nano dragon coil for my Protank... lmao the trick is to build the coil vertical instead of horizontal and leave room for air to get through. Its quite weird but I love to tinker.

For people who can do it, I think it makes a lot of sense to put in a vertical coil, and stuff the wicking/filler around it and let the air flow through the center of the coil; it has been one of the standard missing pieces in the current grade of the system - AIRFLOW.

Also look into drilling the small holes in the base of your Protank. BE SUPER CAREFUL!!!!!!! Use a 1/16th drill bit. If you slip you could damage the 510 connection threads. Some people also state that it makes the base weaker so keep that in mind, I'm gentle with all my setups so I never worry. Start with just one hole, try it, then if you crave more drill another.

The 1/16 airflow Protank.... What a difference.

Happy Vaping! :)

I did that today on my 4 protank knockoffs; I drilled 1 hole each; I actually used 5/64 since my 1/16 bit is broken; the metal on my knockoff was pretty easy; I did it handheld- well I did have to find my prescription glasses to do it but it worked out pretty easy.

I just might drill out the other 2 holes each; i can always plug a hole with something if it's too airy.

The Kanger mini protank 2 is the standard right now, but this Smoktech PBC is really interesting.

Its a pyrex tank but it comes with an outer plastic tank to protect it!
Plus it comes with a plastic mouthpiece whereas the protank 2 is likely to come with a metal mouthpiece which seems to irritate the lips; but the protank 2 does allow for changing to a plastic mouthpiece.

I love my protanks, PT1, PT2 and mini PT2' at first i didnt liked because i was used to tight draw from my vivi novas, then i start using my protanks 1 and they are way better with the open draw, in my PT2 i did change bottom cap for a PT1 to get more airflow,

I also have few RDA Rebuildable Dripper Atomizer, wich is the best thing out there, but not very usefull when out of home so i try the RSST and a COBRA ganesys tank and never got a satisfied build on neither, that was the case until i get my Russian 91%, wow just wow way far better than genesy tanks and far way easy to rebuild, the Russian 91% and Kayfun Lite are like a RDA build in tank. Just the best

Leaving the silicone cup off is actually how I used mine before I retired it for an Odysseus.

It is the key in my opinion but when the tank gets low you can't lay it on its side. If you can keep it pretty much upright at all times it will work perfectly and wicks great with no gurgling. It prevents the reverse vacuum from forming. It doesn't leak or gurgle with the seal off!

Thanks for reminding me, and the op - I forgot about that. It really works!

Hi Edyle, could you PM or post link where you got knockoff? Not a lot of cash right now and want to try some before "committing" to one brand. I'm already so confused with the lingo, I need a dictionary, lol Thanks!

You probably don't want to hear this, but my frustration with the Protank 3 was the cause of me venturing into rebuildables. I owned ALL the protanks, except the Unitank Mini, and I've had issues at some point with each model, whether it was flooding, faulty coils, etc.

If you just want to test out a drip atomizer without blowing $$, order yourself a smoktech mini RDA for $10. it comes already built, with about 2.5 ohm resistance. If you like it, you can pick up a foot of wick and wire for dirt cheap, and experiment more from there.
