I have a trip coming up and need to figure out if vaping stuff is allowed on planes and in airports. Has anyone traveled lately and know what is allowed? I'll be going through the Miami and Los Angeles airports.

The little bit of research I have done seems to indicate that the rules are on an airport by airport basis, but they are pretty relaxed - and that the big thing to focus on is the liquid (not being in larger quantities).

Okay - Since I fly every 5-6 Weeks from FLL to PHL, I have mentioned this before and I know I have told people already here on ECF too . . . But here is what "You" might want to know . . .

DO NOT - I MEAN DO NOT - Pack in any "Checked" suitcase any "E-liquids" in large quantities, especially any "pre-filled" tanks . . . THEY WILL LEAK/CRACK or "Explode", especially if "You" are not careful . . . I Speak From Experience - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED . . .

AND - Although TSA Agents are quite aware of "eCigs" and the like, I know they will frown at someone carrying on board large bottles of "E-Liquids", Big Huge MODS, or any APV's that they cannot recognize . . .

Remember TSA Regulations are that no liquids over 3oz in a container are allowed on the plane (and as I have mentioned not good to pack either) . . . However - That does not stop you from bringing 20 bottles with you, but under 3oz each . . . AND - If I may suggest, whether or not you are bringing that many bottles of "E-Liquid" - put each bottle in a separate "Plastic Baggy" and then into a Larger 1 gallon "Plastic Baggy" so it is easier to take out and then put back into your carry-on luggage if/when "YOU" NEED TO. . . Just Sayin' . . .

Now - I do not Vape as much as many people (or possibly "You") do, but I bring 2 - 78 Batteries (& Personal Charger/Carry Case that also holds 6 KR808 Cartomizers), a Bolt (w/18650 Battery), and a "Mini" that uses a 18390 Battery (all fully charged) along with 3 - 5ml Bottles & 5 - 3ml Bottles of "E-Liquid" and 4 - 510 Boge Cartomizers; 2 - "Drip Atties"; 1 - Bottle Buddy that holds a sm bottle of Menthol & Kolada . . . which all fits into a "Zune" Hard-sided Case that I modified just a little to hold the PCC and does fit into one of "My" Carry-on's . . .

AND - Only once have I been asked by TSA to take My eCig "Stuff" out of "My" Carry-on or I was told that they need to inspect it - after that never again . . .

TSA had more of a problem with the little "Snack"s, including a couple of boxes of Tuna Fish/Crackers I have to take with "Me" because of "My" diabetes . . .

BTW: I also leave all "My" Bottles of "E-Liquid" in the case and have not been asked to remove it from there either . . . Just Sayin' . . .

AS - For "Vaping" in an Airport - it depends on the specific airport and if they also have someone selling "E-Cigarettes" there or not . . . Some Will - Some Will Not Allow "You" to Vape inside and will insist that "You" go outside with the cigarette smokers . . . SO "You" will need to check with them . . . (Personally, especially when "We" are in the waiting area at the gate I have on occasion either "Stealth Vaped" there or quickly went into the lavatory with no problem/s . . . )

It should also be noted, that the majority of the Airlines DO NOT ALLOW VAPING on the plane, some have even made announcements on the plane too given FAA . . .

One last thing - if "You" should try to "Stealth Vape" on the plane PLEASE be very careful - if caught, not only might the Plane be forced to turn around or land somewhere else - Ya' will be arrested as if "You" were smoking a cigarette . . . Just Sayin' . . ​

I may be flying to a daughters wedding in Cali8, so the info was good for me. damn it, Cali is the most restrictive State in the Union, I wonder if I will be Stealth vaping all over the place. The Missus told me to do what I always do, scr#w them and do it in their faces. Not the plane or airport, just out and about, And not blow smoke in their faces. Hate personal freedoms being taken from me.

Thanks for all the posts with travel/vaping information. Good information and suggestions! Uncle, that was really nice of you to detail your experiences - By the way, I love your modified case! I should be fine with my spinners and mini protanks, but I'll keep everything tucked away and discreet.

Successfully wrapped my first coil yesterday!! Only problem is it floats between 1.2 and 1.3 so sometimes the zmax I'm using will fire it, and sometimes it won't ... I need a mech mod!!!

Dripping has really changed my vape experience. The non-dripped juices (from clearos) taste so bland in comparison, and the vape is so much less dense. Is it just the dual coils I'm using in my dripper, or the cotton wicks, or the fact that all my clearos are bottom coil, or all of the above? Also, the dual coils consume juice at an alarming rate. The unexpected thing is that my coils have lasted for a while without showing any signs of deterioration. I had assumed I'd have to rebuild them daily since I'm new at this, but they are strong and durable. I give them a quick dry burn every time I change the wicks, and they look as good as new every time. I suspect they will last a month or perhaps longer. And to think, when I first got into vaping I had no interest in rebuilding or dripping at all, but now it's spoiled me.

USPS inexplicably has my order from Lucky 7 showing as projected for delivery today, even though the last update was leaving the processing facility in Oklahoma City two days ago. It normally shows "out for delivery" by this time of morning when it's actually going to arrive. I now have stress.

My allergies are picking up as everything turns green around my area. I always had trouble smoking when my throat and sinuses were irritated from allergies, but vaping doesn't seem to be as much of an issue. Maybe it is just from habit, but I have definitely vaped less the last couple of days that my allergies have been at their worst.

I waited for so long before I started rebuilding, but it's spoiled me too. I agree with everything you stated above! I sure am glad I listened to what everyone said, and tried it for myself!

I fly quite a bit, but haven't since I started vaping. I hadn't even thought about how I was going to fly with my vape gear. Thanks Uncle, that was most helpful! Until I find a better vape travel case, I've been using a mens style "overnight toiletry bag". So far, it's been working for car travel.

Just recently started vaping again after lapsing back to analogs for a year. I'm glad I did start again because it feels great. I'm never going back to analogs.

My experience with vaping. MVP threads on the 510 connection are really soft. Buy an adapter to keep on it, so that you don't ruin them.

I've had the same problem with my Vamo. I got one in March and it is already having some threading issues...I'm sure partly due to how often I change tanks because I like to change flavors a lot. Also I have a bad habit of over tightening.
