I bought two of them at different time in two different shipments hoping they are from two different batches. But they are pretty much the same.
1. Liquid Capacity is 10 ml, NOT 20 ml.
2. Some genius decided to use Washers under the Terminal screws. Bad idea, those washers create short circuit and both units arrived shorted without coils. Here is why:
I suggest removing those washers and not using them.

Di6zRkl.jpg

3. Neither the Screws or the Washers are made out of Stainless Steel (They stick to the magnet)

4. Also, when the factory drilled the side Airhole they did not remove Burr from the Center Pin hole, just where the drill bit makes its exit. Thus also creates potential, intermittent short circuit. The Burr must be removed: (it is very hard to capture that burr inside the hole, but believe me it is there touching positive center pin)

5. In one of my units, the bottom portion of the Chimney (Chimney Well) has a crack all the way though.

6. The other unit came with MISSING Delrin Insulator, it just wasn't there.

Fxnzgh4.jpg

7. Positive terminal block is machined poorly, the threaded hole almost exposed on one side:

8. I replaced those screws with M2.0 Stainless Steel but my screws had their heads taller by 1 mm and that shorted to the Chimney Top portion, I had 0.27mm wire under the screw head. That means that there is only 1mm gap from the top of the positive Screw and the chimney that is Negatively charged. An other word: It is dangerously close to shorting out especially for those who like to use thicker gauge wires.
Here is the evidence of Short Circuit: (You see those burnt marks?)

vWMmohN.jpg

That said, over all it is a pretty good atomizer (after you get all the problems worked out)
I have it built with a single coil and with dual coil.
I performs pretty well.
I'm going to open up a Support Ticket for the Missing Insulator and Cracked Well to be replaced.

Dual Coil:

I hope this helps someone who is thinking about purchasing it in the near future.

Yes, China-made stuff are often of doubtful quality. If you have tools, you're handy with them and you don't mind using them, you can often "finish the job" so to speak, and have quality devices for pennies on the dollar compared to american-made stuff. But if you want quality stuff that works well from the get-go, forget the clones.

There's no secret: cheap stuff is cheap....

Hey, dude, not necessarily. Not all Stainless Steel is NON-magnetic. Ferritic and martensitic stainless steels are magnetic. All depends on the manner of manufacturing. Cold welding and other processes can increase magnetic capability in SS.

I knew, by posting that review, volunteer myself as a Beta tester or a guinea pig if you will, I make myself vulnerable to be picked on. It's just a human nature to challenge everything instead of just believing...

That said, here is how it went: I never suspected those screws to be made out of Non Stainless Still. I've never had anything made in China that would do that. (I'm being sarcastic). After vaping on this device for a few days I started noticing that my screws are becoming darker in color. Then I took them to the magnet and they stick. Then I took them to my grinder to look at the spark - and the spark was a bright yellow snowflake like. That is not exactly a scientific test, but it is used by metal workers to identify different alloys approximately.

OK. I do not insist on the fact that those screws are made out of Carbon Steel. In my humble opinion, they are made from God knows what metal that I do not want to be used in my Vaping devices that I inhale.
This is why I replaced them with the ones I know made from 304 Stainless Steel. Just for a piece of mind.

And if you are going to pick on my English, please keep in mind that English is not my first language.

Best Regards.

Mike.

I have the TOBECO 28.5mm Kayfun and outside of being full of machining oil (pretty typical) it's pretty much built as well as my EHPRO KFL+ clones. Your FT model looked like a hot mess!

I was thinking about that but the deal breaker for me was no t having a clear window to see my juice. And $10.00 cheaper. And their falsely advertised 20 ml. I made a wrong decision.

I am truly sorry if you feel I was in any way "picking on" you. That was absolutely not my intention.

I have had plenty of people tell me that ALL stainless steel is guaranteed non-magnetic (I am a huge BBQ guy, from building from scratch to recommending pre-builts), and the most uninformed opinion out there is to "bring a magnet to the store" and "if it sticks, don't buy it". Now, for the most part, this is true, but not always. There is some good SS that is magnetic, just depends on how it was processed. And yes, usually will NOT be found in chinese made cheap knock-off clones.

And you are right, most of us expect our attys to be made from SS, as that is what we are accustomed to, and it sucks when we find out they are not.

And if you are going to pick on my English, please keep in mind that English is not my first language.

Until you typed that, I would never have guessed you are not a native English speaker/writer.

Guys, one more update:
I thought the top portion of the chimney shorting on the post screw was because I replaced those screws with slightly bigger head screws. I was wrong. It shorts even with the stock screws with 28 Gauge wire trapped under them. The top part needs to be trimmed. Or just install an O-Ring like this:
I used a bright orange O-Ring for the purpose of this picture.

But if you think the Big Fogger is any better - Think again.

Big Fogger from Frog in Fog is a bad news.
I received two of them, black and stainless.
First of all: I strongly suspect that they are not authentic based on several factors:
(Just when I thought the quality couldn’t get any worse – it did)
1. They arrived in plain white cardboard boxes with some protective foam wrapped around them and a bag of goods at the bottom of the box. With a tiny computer printed barcode sticker, on the side of the box saying: “Name: Big Fogger Black” and the other: “Big Fogger” The stickers are cut with scissors unevenly and placed on the boxes not strait at different places of each box.
Nowhere on the packaging the word: YiLoong is even mentioned.
2. The Positive Block sits crooked squashing the thin (almost non excitant) tiny Insulator that appears to be made of soft cheap plastic, instead of Delrin POM.
3. The Insulator is a wrong size for this deck. It doesn’t cover the whole Positive block and two holes in it do not match the holes in the deck. To make it fit, they cut a half of the metal off the pin that is used to prevent that Positive Block from spinning around on the center pin like Kayfun.
4. The Positive Block Screw was too long, so they used their grinder to make it shorter and did a pretty sloppy job with it. The threads in the Positive Block for the Screw are not full. The drill bit used to drill the hole for threading was too big or wobbled and, therefore there are hardly any threads in it. You will strip the screw in no time with very little efford.
5. The positive Screw is RUSTING just in a few hours after washing it.
6. The Center Pin is no longer made out of brass. I want to think it is stainless steel… But the bottom 510 screw is made of copper.
7. And now, the most important, unfixable, deal breaking discovery: The 510 threaded connector is way too thin! You can easily pull the Big Fogger off any of my 20 Mods without unscrewing it. I have to admit that Stainless Big Fogger has its 510 threads a little larger and it sort of holds on to the mod barely. But the black one falls right out of it.
I am typing it while driving my truck.

I hope this will save some people some money that were thinking of buying the Big Fogger from the Frog.
