Hello everyone,

First, thanks for the input when I was buying my first PV. I came back to that thread when trying to figure out next steps/new things to try after settling in to vaping in general. I found I hate filling cartos...it made me feel like a drug addict to have to top off regularly (and I seemed to be doing that often due to taste issues) so I moved on to a clearomizer. I'm sure I'll move on to a tank type system over time, but the clearomizers satisfy me for now (just need more!).

Got down to 1-5 analogs/day for the first 3 weeks using cartos. Went on vacation and slipped back to the analogs for 2 days (not sure if I got frustrated filling, or if the humidity and heat kicked my .... and just made it uncomfortable and inconvenient to vape? I was most likely seriously dehydrated!). When i came back, my clearomizer had arrived, filled it up and was so happy with the difference in flavor. Haven't touched an analog since.

Thanks again! having those suggestions to come back to helped a lot. Next purchase....atomizer probably.

I ordered 7 of the vision 510 clearomizers last night :) I almost smoked an analog yesterday after my clearomizer started tasting yucky/needed to be cleaned (and didn't know how to do that yet). I promised myself I would not put myself in that position again simply due to lack of extras of things I already know I like. I may have went overboard!

No idea why, but for some reason I'm avoiding the atomizers? Might be due to having no idea how they work lol. Guess that is my next research project.

Well, actually everything you use on a device has an atomizer. It's what heats the juice. Starter kits first came out with what's called cartridges and atomizers (and alot still do). Then you have the cartomizer (cartridge and atomizer all in one) Then you have all the other stuff like Clearomizers (they still have that 'izer' built into the name)...and then they started running out of names, so they went to things like the Nova..etc...but most everything like that has an atomizer already built into it.
A plain atomizer is what people who drip use. They drip a few drops directly onto the atomizer and vape that, then they drip some more...etc...etc..There are systems (like the box mods) that use an atomizer and a tank. The tank is built into the device and you squeeze the bottle so that you get some juice on the atomizers....vape that...then squeeze again. Hope this helps explain it some to you.

Next pruchase atomizer..... if topping off the carto made you feel like an addict, dripping into an atty is likely going to make you feel like one even more so. Check into them a little more before you make that step just to make sure it is for you, although I would recommend giving them a try. You can always use it behind closed doors away from prying eyes that make you feel like an addict lol.

That's what I was going to say! Thanks for saving me the time and effort, I thought the same thing.

I would suggest the Vivi Nova 2, although you will do well with the clearos you have. They are both easy to maintain, clean, and fill.

If you still want an atty, one of the best (IkenVape i06) can be found here:

IKV IO6 1.8Ω

Relax, Enjoy!

haha! The only reason I am pondering an atty is so that I can taste new flavors w/out having to clean out my other stuff :) An atty is the right thing for that right? Or have I got myself confused again? (which is very likely! All the new terminology can be quite overwhelming lol)

I use a plain atty and drip onto it when I'm mixing my own juice to test out the flavor before I fill a 3ml tank. Works well, but you do have to wash them before switching flavors. I just rinse them well with water. Some flavors linger so I soak them in water over night.

I rarely use cartos. I too just can't be bothered to fill them... Too much of a pain!! I prefer clearos or a carto in a tank. I really like stardust clearomizers. They seem to be a love em or hate em item tho haha. I have had great luck with them though!

I've seen the cartos in a tank and wondered how difficult those are to put together? you have to punch holes in the cartos (or buy pre-punched)? Made me curious but haven't looked into that much yet. On my "next things to try" list!

I use pre-punched Smoktech cartos in a tank, and they have worked well for me. Some people have had issues with some pre-punched cartos (various brands). I think it depends on the thickness of your liquid. If you're using thicker liquid (high vg) then you need a slightly larger hole, or you will not get enough liquid in the carto. Too large of a hole and it will flood, and worst case leak. I haven't had either of these problems using the Smok pre-punched using 60pg/40vg or 70pg/30vg juice.

Hope that helps! I don't use cartos in a tank much any more, just because I prefer the flavor of clearos. :)
