Same thing happened to me. I got a similiar e-mail from the same company last night. Mine was not a real huge order either. Just over $500 in products and a couple hundred in juice. Here is a copy of the e-mail they sent me:

Dear,

I have ruturn your funds back to your paypal account, as these days US customs has block many goods. We don't want to take this risk for you and for us.

Thanks for understanding.

Jocelyn

I sent an email back to them nicely suggesting that maybe their company should look into labeling the e-cigs as "personal vaporizers". That perhaps they'd get through customs easier that way. Anyway, it was a big dissapointment. But I feel even worse for you K, because I know you went through alot putting that big group order together.

This is very disheartening. I have been been burning the midnight oil trying to get my own e-cig company off the ground, and within the last week it is all starting to feel like a doomed exercise.

Please, somebody say something encouraging..............

The shipments can pass customs with the apropiate Labeling and "Product Code" look at this post:

I was just on the e-cig.com website and here is what is posted regarding the court case.

Terrible Lie: We Are Closed?!

Right now, there is big news from some company announcing that E-Cig is an illicit manufacturer of electronic cigarettes and accessories and has been ordered by the court to destroy all of its existing stock of inventory and agree to never engage in the electronic cigarette business again.

E-Cig has made E-Cigar and E-Pipe at the beginning with the similar technology as Ruyan. The technology applied in the E-Cigar and E-Pipe was so bad so that E-Cig had to invent the new technology with the other manufacturer to meet the market needs. The E-Cig atomizing technology and it's products have been innovated a lot since the first generation of the electronic cigarette.

It is true that Ruyan made a lawsuit against E-Cig for the Infringement for the Ruyan's patent No. 200420031182,0. The court has thoroughly examined the case and made finally the following decisions, on 20th January 2009, which have been agreed by the both parties E-Cig and Ruyan:

1. E-Cig has made E-Cigar and E-Pipe before using the similar technology as Ruyan, should stop to produce the E-Cigar and E-Pipe products and destroy the existing stock of inventory for the E-Cigar and E-Pipe products.
2. E-Cig pays RMB¥100,000 (equivalent to only $14,600 US Dollars) compensation to Ruyan for the damages.
3. All the other E-Cig products, such as E-Cigarette, E-Cigarillo, E-MiniCig, E-Cig E8, E-Cig E9, USB-eCig U8, USB-eCig U9, USB-eCig U9m etc. are using it's own new technology actually. There is no Infringement for the Ruyan's patent No. 200420031182,0.
4. The both parts agree to do not make any announcement in any news or advertisement with wrongful mispresentation of the court decision for the business purpose.

For some ulterior selfish motives, Ruyan has violated the court decision and the agreement. From Ruyan announcement, E-Cig is an illicit manufacturer of electronic cigarettes and accessories and has been ordered by the court to destroy all of its existing stock of inventory and agree to never engage in the electronic cigarette business again. Now, it is now believed in the world that E-Cig would be closed. We understand very well some people were really dreaming that E-Cig would be out of the business so that they could monopolize the electronic cigarette market with the outdated technology.

By providing constant innovation and highly competitively-priced products, E-Cig has become the world's #1 choice for the electronic cigarette products; E-Cig.com has become the world largest B to C and B to B commercial website for the electronic cigarette products. Ruyan can not monopolize and control the electronic cigarette market any more.

For developing the E-Cig products, we have the Patents: 2006301649379, 2006301649383, ZL2006 2 0135072.8, ZL2005 2 0031712.6 and applied the patents with the patent pending number: 200620119250.8, 200620167599.9, 200820005536.2, 200510017951.0, and 200710054948.5. Our comprehensive products which represent the new generation of electronic cigarette products are completely different from Ruyan products from the inside structure to the outside looking. We will continuously do our best to provide the constant innovation.

We will never be closed. On the contrary, we have cleared the garbage products which could not meet the market needs, and concentrate now on our own new products; and we will be growing much quicker and quicker again.

We will never be closed. On the contrary, we have cleared the important obstacle which stood before our path, and concentrate now on our own new way; and we will be developing much bigger and bigger again.

We have never agreed or claimed that we would never engage in the electronic cigarette business again. On the contrary, we will engage in the electronic cigarette business FOREVER ......

Well this answers the Ruyun court issue. But doesn't help with the customs issue. Has anybody dealt with this company before?

Here's something else to consider with US customs. I think once you're on their list, once a shipment is refused to be sent to you, then any foreign shipments are scrutenized. Now, I don't know this for sure. I am speculating because of prior experiences with internet overseas pharmacies for sleeping pills.

Once, I was dumb enough to order 90 pills, it got tagged in customs. And, nothing got through after that order.

So, if anyone is re-doing any orders with the proper coding, I would suggest addressing it to a different recipient. Then, later you could try a smaller, less important order, with the original addressee and the proper code and see if it gets through.

K-Krew ...

Look at the bright side. Would you rather get the order in to the USA, just to get stopped and confiscated by the FDA, thus losing close to $10K and having to explain to all potential bulk buyers that you F***** up and can't give a refund ?

I really really give you props my friend. Being a supplier is one thing and taking on the risk. Being just a normal guy/girl trying to help fellow members out is a completely different ballgame... Cahones my friend ...

Guess there are both positives and negatives to this :)

A friend of mine in the US had just received 100 ecigs plus parts with no problems. Received in 5 days. I think the problem might be with centraltrade's shipping agent. Most companies in China use shipping agents cos they are more resourceful and can get discounts. In this case, their agents might not be "resourceful" enough.

Another possible reason might be due to the M401 stocks. I received news that Smoore is no longer supplying to Centratrade due to some pricing disagreements. Therefore, centraltrade is only left with their old stocks. The old stocks might be insufficient to meet your demand? Just a wild guess.

My latest shipment has hit US customs.. No problems yet. *fingers crossed* :)

On a side note, I wouldn't do business with CT.. In my personal experience, they are rude, egotistical, and unprofessional. I wanted to order a bunch of units to do some testing on, and they had the units that I wanted to test (M401, KR units, etc). I wrote back and forth with one of their reps for 2 weeks asking for an invoice and kept getting the run-around, so I finally wrote back letting them know that I was going to go look for my product elsewhere if I could not get an invoice within 24 hours. I ended up not getting an answer and calling them direct thinking that their rep might have been out of the office. Apparently they don't like urgent emails, and mistook my statement (getting my product elsewhere) as rude.. I guess they were having problems then, because it didn't seem like they wanted the business.

This email was sent after calling them and getting yelled at by Martinez himself for being "rude" via email.

as you wish, we do not business with this caliber of costumers, we are to good for this.

Many greets,

Martinez

Go figure

I'djust like tp chime in here....i just picked up my package from parcel force UK. I ordered over 15L of liquid from central trade. It took around 4 days to get to me...they have given me excellent service. It must be a US problem because everything in the UK is fine. I'm really really sorry to hear what happened to you K...that is a real bummer.
