"The top US court rejected the federal government's attempt to make big tobacco forfeit up to $280bn in damages - in a seizure of profits called disgorgement - and fund a national anti-smoking programme."

BBC News - US Supreme Court rejects appeals in tobacco case

Of course, Anti-Smoking is synonymous with Anti-Tobacco, Anti-Harm Reduction, and Anti-E Cigarettes! Those billions would have funded plenty of disinformation!

It's become my informed opinion that if the Tobacco companies were concerned about saving human lives they would go into the e-cigarette business.

Only in a perfect world huh?

In a perfect world, the government would keep their nose out of my business and their hands off my wallet; can anybody dream! lol

Hey, I noticed I'm now a senior member; is that a reflection of my age! lol

Probably happens when you reach 150 posts?

I hope there won't be an expectation that the quality of my posts will increase now; I'm already operating at my full potential and I'm becoming more senile every day! lol

You now have a responsibility to vape as often as needed (or whatever nicotine strength needed) to ward off senility.:vapor:

I can understand BT wanting to retain customers through life extension. After all, if you kill your customers and the teenagers have been taught not to smoke, you are left with no one to sell to. Joe Camel is dead and so is the Marlboro Man.

My experience with the corporate world is that nothing happens without a financial analysis. If it makes money, saves money, or puts the corporation in a better position at a reasonable cost, it will eventually happen. They do little to be nice unless they need an image boost, and that translates to more profits. We like doing business with nice people and they always want to make us think they are nice. It's good for sales.

According to the rumors, BT has investigated, produced, and is now selling throwaway Ecigs. The local BP station here has placards on top of their pumps for Ecigs. I need to go back and read the sign again, but I think they were Blu cigs, and I seem to remember Phillip Morris but I might be completely wrong. From what I understand, you get 10 to a pack for $19.95 and one cig is supposed to last an average smoker (vaper) all day. My guess is that it's a cartomizer style.
