"Big Vaping"

Lately I've been seeing the term "big vaping" on anti-vaping websites, articles etc and it perplexes me to no end. Seriously, to whom are they referring? Most of the shops and websites I visit are very small companies. The owner is some dude sitting behind the counter, drinking a pop and vaping away. I wonder is one of them "big vaping"?

At my favorite local shop the owner has spent literally hours with me, showing me setups, explaining differences between setups, diagnosing my issues and helping me find the setup that works for me so that I can quit smoking. Because of him I finally quit in January of this year even though I started vaping in July of 2014.

Is that dude "big vaping"? Am I just another clueless convert caught up in the web of some new ploy? Are we all mindless drones following the new shiny thing?

Honestly the only big anything that is leading me around by the nose is our big government that uses big fat lies to grow big hysteria in order to stop little vape shops from helping little old us stop smoking. Why? Because our big government is in the pocket of big tobacco and big pharma. And they love their big fat tax on cigarettes.

"Big vaping" is like the boogie man. Just a big, fat, cloud of propaganda to make us behave. Why can't we get the word out there?

Please check out the CASAA section in Electronic Cigarette News and Campaigning. Get to the Colorado section and see what your state politicians are doing. You might even consider joining CASAA? We need folks like you to speak up. Keep posting your concerns, it's appreciated.
PS, CASAA is just one of the great groups helping the vape community.

And who do you think makes all those pretty boxes on the shelf of your humble little vape shop

Joyetech is partners with ovale and creator of the most famous ecig in history.

They have millions of dollars and massive factories.

Then add in kanger
Smoke
Vision
Aspire
ELeaf

And a hundred other companies

Who all have the same goals in mind.

Many of the ejuice companies are joining together to create standards.

Add casaa to the mix advocating for vapors.

And ice the cake with all the reviewers, bloggers and proponents of vaping trying to advance the cause.

And the term suddenly has a real component.

Big tobbaco doesn't mean the guys at Marlboro. It means the general consensus and direction of an industry as a whole, all banding together under the same principals and standards with a common goal in mind.

never heard of it, but what comes to mind is the cloud chasers, vaping 100 watts, billowing fog in public, attracting attention

when people see smoke, their internal fire alarm bells start ringing,

Just did. Thanks for the tip. I've gotten pretty passionate about this issue. Almost cult like. But I believe in it.

But they don't mean it like that. They mean it like this: How Big Vaping is misinforming the public about e-cigarettes - Vox There is nothing good implied in this blog.

I do like the pretty boxes though. I'm a sucker for shiny stuff.

And what I said is accurate all I see is in the article is they are referring to the movement as a whole.

"they" (bt) misinformed the public about the dangers of smoking too, didn't they?

If your not understanding the context of the terminology I don't know what else I can say. Seeing as your on the inside you see the article as a negative attack. They are referring to the whole movement in general, because we do counterattack when we think we are right from innokin to ECF we constantly post about how they are wrong or ecigs are a healthy alternative

We are doing just like big tobacco does when they feel threatened by propaganda.

Kind of a long story. A vaper helped organize a rebuttal campaign to California's anti vaping ads. They had all kinds of lies and crap. So this guy decides to create a Twitter campaign called [HASHTAG]#notblowingsmoke[/HASHTAG] . Well, it seems to have ...... off the California Health and now a bunch of other so called "health' organizations.

They just can't believe that one person, with just a couple of bucks, could create such a backlash and that all of us vapers are really good at joining together to help spread the Truth. They are calling all of us (collectively) Big Vaping.

Bottom line, if you are a vaper and are involved in the fight, you are big vaping.

Which means, I am Big Vaping :D

And damn proud! [HASHTAG]#vapingsavedmylife[/HASHTAG]

I barely get looked at while I vape at 150w on my way from the car to Public, don't think that many people really care about the clouds as they're making it out to be. I think it's just as Robino1 said. Thanks for the clear explanation on that, Robino1.
