I really like my 808's and especially my pass through, but I'm ready to get something with a little more staying power. Ideally, I'd like to get through most if not all of the day on 1 battery.

As I understand it, there are basically 3 808-compatible bigger batteries; the iGo, the Elegant Easy, and the PigCig. Is that right? Are they all pretty similar or does one have a decided advantage?

It looks like the iGo is only available as part of a starter kit and as such will cost $70. I can get into either of the othe 2 for under $40 although admittedly with only one battery. I also see that the Pigcig comes in either a 900mah or 650mah version. So far, what I've seen are user reviews on these by people who bought one or the other and seem to like it. Has anyone independently tried all 3? Also, is there any chance ANY of these would work with the several 808 chargers I now possess?
At this point I'm leaning to one of the cheaper options unless there's a definitive advantage for one over the other.

FWIW, I've now been vaping a little over 2 months so I'm a relative newbee. I do think I've more or less got the hang of it (no analogs at all) and I'd like to reduce or eliminate the constant battery shuffle neccesary to get through the day so any firsthand advice is much appreciated.

P.S. I'll throw out my thoughts on the many different 808 cartomizers I've tried. So far they include: LiteCig regular and premium, V4L premium, Nhaler, Madvapes Clearomizers and lastly, Volt. Best I can tell, the Volt, Nhaler and "regular" LiteCig's are basically the same thing (Kangers?). They come in the bubble packaging, have no wire through the tube and as such I assume are horizontal coil. The premiums from LiteCig and and V4L come individually wrapped and are apparently vertical coil. They work OK but, do snap and crackle alot which I suspect is hammering my battery. Also, the V4L's (Boge's?) apprear to be all over the board in terms of quality. In some, the inner tube and fill comes up litterally just over half way up the carto thus limiting the amount of juice one can apply. As to the clearomizers, I like them alot in terms of vapor production, etc. I've been careful so I haven't cracked any tubes yet. The main problem with them in my mind are that they are a hassle to fill/re-fill since you have to use the little syringe tip as opposed to just dripping in some juice to top them off, etc. They are also more difficult to clean as I've tried once and am not sure it worked at all.

Hi rebelvis. I have been doing the same search as you! A couple of points I discovered while searching the forums...

The Elegant Easy operates at 3.4 volts(as compared to 3.7 for KR808 and PigCig). As such you may get a slightly cooler vape from it.

Vapor Heaven sells a KR Vgo. 1300 mah battery that is $19.00. Got Vapes has a Flugo(?) kit that comes with 2 batteries that are smaller. (650 mah). Kit is more expensive and I can't find spare batteries for sale. (maybe just me:blush:) All of these along with what you have listed should work perfectly with your current cartomizers.

One other option is of course to get an adapter and use whatever battery you want!

I'm sure there will be many others by to give more advice. Afraid I'm a noob as well! :?:

Either way, let us know what you decide and best of luck.

I bought an Elegant Easy and really like it for the battery life and I can use my 808 cartos. Then I bought a mini copper with 510 threads and needed an adaptor so I could still use my 808 cartos. Found a nice low profile adaptor at ecigexpress, 510 to 808, so now I have the option of buying either a 510 or 808 big battery and being able to use the pile of 808 cartos I have.

I used a V4L KR8 for a year and loved it...then when I wanted more bat power...instead of the Igo...I went to a good ol EGO 650 or 900 bat with 510 threads and an adapter....I can now use my 808 cartos...without the adapter of course I can use my 510 cartos and attys/carts..

On my KR8/V4L bats I use reg V4L cartos and also a 901 atty/cart cause they fit the KR8....

Thanks for the comments everyone. From what I'm reading it sounds like the iGo has more voltage and the Elegant Easy less than a regular KR battery. I'm sure there's a reason but, it seems odd they'd design them that way as I'd think they're bound to vape differently. Given all that, I'm leaning to the 900mah Pigcig. I will look into the other 2 that HS mentioned as I was not familiar with them. Have you decided on one HS? Oh and BTW, thanks Michelle for your always informative posts. I've learned alot about the various cartos from you.

Edited to add: Is it pretty much a sure bet that NONE of these bigger batteries will work with my existing KR808 chargers? One of them (forget which) shows a USB charger that looks identical to the ones I've got. It would make this whole thing easier if I didn't have to buy a darned charger for $6-9 to add to the growing inventory of junk I've already got. It seems like if the voltage is the same as a KR808 battery, the same charger ought to work given more time for the larger capacity. What's the danger?

The Igo has 4,2 volt... Offcourse, it may burn cartos, so mabe the Pig is the better choice.....Depends on how much TH one craves...

4.2, I did not know that, thanks Michelle. :) I think(not positive) that the batteries that start off at 4.2 volts will then "sag" under use until they need recharging. So the Elegant would have a lower(cooler?) but more consistent vape.

Unfortunately I have not decided on what to get, yet! So many choices, so little vaping budget!! ROFL

Good luck with whatever you decide reb. And if you discover :vapor: nirvana, make sure you let us know!!

You are velcome guys... actually they tell me it has a consistant voltage untill almost drained....

Why is it odd they are different? Its a good thing, so each can mix and match to his own perticular satisfactory. Givving the land of 808 more versatillity....me like; ) Now they still need a short g400....( no cant let it go)

Cant say about the chargers.....

I'm sure the iGo is a decent battery. I don't like having to shell out $70+ to try one. Seems a bit much to me. Also, the apparent lack of charger compatability is an annoyance.

I'll give ya that. But I can tell you this. This little thing has been the most hassle free device I've owned. Hits like a tank, and I've shelved all of my mods I've collected over the past year or so. I still carry a reg 808 in my truck, just in case. But it's truly been the first device that I've owned that is just a pick up and go type deal lol.

I have a drawer full of kr808 batts in both standard and XL size. Highest mah is 380, which lasts me 5-6hrs of moderate vaping. 4.2V-3.7V is too high for some types of cartos. Specifically, the horizontal atty ones like Bloog MF, Nhaler jumbo and Ikenvape mega. All are kr808 threaded but will burn on my kr808 batts(or an Igo, for that matter). To solve this, I got an Elegant Easy. It's 3.4-3.2V and 750mah (lasts me almost 2x as long as the others). They work perfectly:) You can't use a kr808 charger with the Elegant but you can buy ala cart from Cigeasy and get both the batt and charger for under $34 (that's including shipping). It has a longer cutoff time than the pigcig and charges wicked fast! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the insight MsOceanCity. Are you noticing any difference with the Elegant Easy relating to its lower voltage as compared to a KR808? I'm reasonably happy with my KR808's except for the limited battery life---that's really all I'm trying to accomplish. Just get through an entire day without switching and recharging.

I'm guessing they dropped the voltage a little to extend the battery life. If it doesn't materially affect the vape then that's fine. Also, when you mention cut-off; all of these are MANUAL batteries, right?

Lower voltage means a cooler vape. Flavors tend to taste different at different voltages and finding which ones taste best on what device takes patience, trial and error. I mainly got the Elegant so I could use the jumbo size cartos (which are all horizontal coil). I can go all day without having to charge or top off, which is very convenient, especially when traveling. As far as cutoff, even manual batts have that, sometimes. The pigcig's is 6-8 seconds. The elegant is twice that. It matters for me because I tend to take much longer draws with a low voltage batt.

The Igo looks pretty nice, but pretty big too!

I guess I want it all. ~600 mah battery that is not much bigger than a standard KR8. It should also use standard cartomizer, mega and some type of tank system! Oh yeah and a way to drip for trying new flavors. haha

See, I told you I want it all. :?:

a short g400 would give you all of that, minus the dripping..... see they should really make that thing.......

That looks to be ALMOST exactly what I want. Nice call Michelle~!

I have been doing some searching but cannot find what voltage it runs at. If you tell me it is regulated and on sale I will order right now! (It is a little pricey, in school right now, so on a budget:blush:)

On a side note, the local vendor here told me that he is working on a 808 atomiser. Looks just like a carto but has no filling and the coil is visible. Perfect for trying new flavors or for those times I just want to fog up the living room and make myself a lil silly on nic! :vapor:

I dont know the voltage, but it supposed to be regulated, and supposedly these are the first to come with the good switch and diff tech to allow more mAh in less space.. Drew said its just because Greenworld doesnt make alot of hoopla over them selves, that no one knew...

Im contumplating getting it, have gone back n forth.. If its down at 3,6 like the mf, im not really interested afterall. With my cartos on 2,8 ohm, the mf's are only good enough in the morning. As soon as ive vaped a bit, they suddenly give to little power.. And now their own cartos are raised in ohm, so wonder if the whole thing will be to bland..... Maybe its my juices that are bad, dunno, never tried others..
