i just bought this JOYE 510 SERIES:FLAT BLACK W/ RED LED

I also bought a good bit of juices, now my question is... people are asking about directly dripping and all of this. my question is, do i need any special hardware to do that? i know everyone says to get this and that when you first purchase a starter kit, so my question is the juices i got are good to go without any added hardware?

i haven't done enough research really, and am still browsing through various threads. i know this is a ......ed question, but i kind of freaked after reading some things on here as i already put the order in. thanks.

Nope you don't "need" anything else to be able to drip, however a drip tip would make things more convenient. Your kit should have come with an empty cart on the atomizer, one with no filler in it. If so, all you do is remove the tip, put some drops on the atty and put the tip back on. A drip tip however makes it so you don't have to remove anything as the tip has a hole in it large enough to put the drops through.

Drip tips, which are usually very cheap are the way to go if thats that way you want to use your device. Seems most people do it that way. You will have to refill more often, but it's a much less hassle than filling carts. I hated it at first, but am now finding myself doing that. All it is, is a hollow mouth piece designed to funnel the juice directly to the atty. You could also take off your cart, and drip directly onto the atty, then put the cart back on if you don't have a drip tip. May want to take the white filling out of the cart first so you don't mix flavors as much though. But definitely get a drip tip and try it out. 2-3 drips and your good to go for about a cigs worth of puffs.

The Joye 510 is good hardware and a whole world of vaping possibilities are close. It's up to you if you become a dripper, a topper, or a swapper. Don't know what there is to fret about.

That is an interesting kit. Comes with a standard and a mega battery. They say it will fit their PCC, but I've never heard of a 510 PCC that will work for both types of batteries.

Good hardware. Good selection of juice. You should be ready to go.

'preciate all the replies, but i do have one more question (and you can refer me to a thread and what not, that'll work just fine too as I've been looking for one).. i didn't buy many atomizers.. i think i might have 3 or so. my question is is there any way to keep them alive and kicking... or it is a guesssing game? i don't want to have to wait for another order, as i'm reallllly trying to quit smoking altogether.

Yeah, you'll want more attys.

Their lifespan is all over a pretty wide bell curve. I've had some last months and I've also popped a few in one week. I think they average 3 weeks to 6 weeks for a typical user. A newbie, like yourself, should expect to pop a few while learning.

My vaping style is hard on attys. Some folks have had them go months and months without any issues. And some attys never work right from the beginning.

I would suggest getting about 5 extras to have on hand. I have one stashed at work. One in my car. One in my bedroom. And the rest with most of my stuff in a tackle box. So 5 is the minimum qty for me to keep on hand. If you can afford it, extras bring great peace of mind.

The general consensus these days is to clean them every few days using a method like this one:

YouTube - E-Cigarette Atomizer Maintenance

But I still subscribe to the theory that if it's not broke, don't fix it. I just blow mine out about once a day. I've never cleaned one and I've used the same two atty's since March without a drop in results or flavor.

The problem, though is that they can be unpredictable. I read that someone here has been using the same one atty for the past 7 months, but I know that they are 'supposed' to last for a couple of months or so. Sometimes they break after a week, you just never know.

Best advice is to have at least 4 on hand at all times.

nice. this is the only forum for any 'hobby' (of sorts) that i've seen everyone be really helpful, and i really appreciate that.

We're all smokers, ex-smokers or soon to be ex-smokers so we have that common bond of being cast out by society. LOL

Welcome and good luck to you. =)

I started out with 3 atomizers for my 510. One was dead within the week (user error) it "works" but not like it should. one was working fine one day and the next day was dead (causing me to buy a pack of cigs because I misplaced my third atty and I had an early flight) now i've only got the one 510 atty, but I've got my hello 016 with two attys. So I'm gonna agree with Hoosier and say have 5 atomizers on hand.
I like "dripping", but I'm lazy so I'm gonna try some of the cartridge mods and see if I can get the best of both worlds.
