Ive been hearing that the infinite stuff is pretty good but I have no hands on experience with that. I was looking at the white stag too but its sold out but there are a few on ebay that are still open. I just ordered the brass stingray clone from vapor world and still want the black one but im kinda in the same boat as you as well. I did hear hcigar was making one, I may wait for that version honestly, hcigar has some nice stuff.

There are a few online links for pre-sales on the black stingray clone. My question is which clone to buy, does it make a difference at all or which company has a better reputation.
Whitestag has them by asmart.
I've seen 2 on ebay by black hawk and another by infinite.
any suggestions are appreciated.

Hey whats going on, I just received the Asmart Black Copper stingray clone from Whitestag Vapor. Its a great hard hitting mod, only downside is its not 1:1. My infinite Brass stingray clone is 1:1 and doesn't hit quite as hard but still hits pretty nice. The major differences from the Real copper black stingray and the Asmart one is the switch and top cap as well as the 650 tube. Ill explain, instead of the magnetic switch on the infinite and real stingrays, its a exact copy of the nemesis switch. As the top cap goes, the positive pin is VERY hard, practically impossible to move up and down without some force. On the real stingrays and infinite ones the positive pin is in snug, but not stiff (very easy to move). I know what your thinking, switch the top cap and button with the brass infinite for the Asmart copper stingray, right? Nope, the top caps and button screws in with ease and seems like it would work great... untill you throw in a battery and realize the 650 tube is quite longer than the real and infinite stingrays... My suggestion is to go with a brass infinite stingray, or wait for the infinite black copper stingray... if your not a fan of black here is a link to the Infinite copper stingray Infinite Copper Stingray Mod Clone - White Stag Vapor

That copper one is the one im looking at. I got the Hcigar brass stingray, it has its problems but its not bad for what I paid. But it seems the infinite version is the way to go, they seem better than even the Hcigar. Im tempted to get that copper pre order. Hmmm.

I have a weird feeling Asmart and Skorite are the same, both of them have the same issues with "painted" logos, a Nemesis non-magnetic switch, and a bad floating pin. I saw the Walrus Tech one too and it looks awful. Snatch an Infinite one, they do beautiful work and are head to head with EHPro as my favorite cloners now.

The Skorite and the Asmart still hit hard as far as I know but without the beauty of the original, you're better off grabbing a brass one since all of the manufacturers I've seen so far are making them at serviceable or better quality.

Infinite.

They and Hcigar are vying for top dog in the clone world. Hcigar makes good stuff, but Infinite is besting them on some MODs (I've read that the Infinite Stingray is the shiznit).

I'm holding off for an Infinite Caravela. I have the Hcigar, but they didn't see fit to send more than one 510 connection pin with it, and it either has battery rattle or the MOD won't thread completely closed with most batteries (in 18350 anyways).

The original had this problem which they felt the best solution was to send multiple length connector pins. Infinite followed that lead.

I'm holding off for an Infinite Caravela.

I actually bit the bullet and purchased the Infinity Caravela last night.

Their first batch included 3 510 connection pins (just like the original). Since that batch, some god-like engineer decided to do away with the 3 pin idea and actually make a better solution, so the Infinite Caravelas now include a telescopic copper pin to account for all batteries.

I've been waiting to see MODs where cloners would, rather than simply copy MODs 1:1, actually make improvements where they can be made. The Caravela's 510 connection pin is one such place. Now I can have a Caravela and not have to worry about carrying around extra pins (that will just get lost) or have a MOD that won't thread closed or have battery rattle.

Infinite black copper Stingray clone arrived today. Very nice!

Here it is with the Infinite brass Stingray clone:

The threading on the black copper is not black on mine:

Switch from black copper. Very smooth fire:

ETA: I have no experience with either Asmart or HCigar Stingray clones, so cannot make a comparison. :)

I received my Asmart/Skorite and Infinite versions today. Overall, as the pictures reveal, the Infinite is the better version. However, the switch on mine SUCKS. I've already worked on it twice, but it still catches, even with a very short throw. My 18350 tube was also scratched out of the box.

Ok, now that I've seen 2 sets of pictures of the switch from the Stingray, I've got a question...

I believe all the people who say that it is better than the Nemesis switch. A lot seem to even say much better. What I don't understand is why? To my eye, the Stingray switch appears very similar in design to that of the Nemesis. I don't see anything that would make it better, let alone much better. Can anyone help me out and explain why to me?

If you don't mind not having the engraving on the switch (which I'm not sure even if the original has it on the black copper version), get the Infinite. I received mine today and it's the bee's knees. Hits like a freight train, the engravings are done right (nice and deep) and the machining is excellent.

Does your infinite black copper clone have the threads exposed a little on the bottom? My button is also super crunchy I don't get it.

I've only used the 18350 tube and the threads do not show, do not know about the longer tube. But my button sticks sometimes and the mod auto fires. I just use the authentic button instead.
