hi all,

2 weeks ago i recieved a rather nice parcel containing the new black EVO. i was asked to abuse it and share my thoughts with the guys at intellicig but was told not to tell anyone i had it! as its on sale now ive been given permission to share my thoughts on it with you guys via this video review.

i wanted to post it last night but the forum went down and youtube was being a pain in the bum!

sadly, youtube kept rejecting it as they said it was too long in length! so unfortunately i have had to re edit it and take out a minutes footage. i still have all the main parts but there are now a few cuts rather than it being all done in one take.
im still gonna keep trying to upload the original to youtube as it was well within the maximum file size allowed and i cant find any rules regarding the length of a video.

so for the moment you get this one and if i can successfully upload the "un cut" version then i will swap it over!

Nicely done again scott, interesting a slightly reduced throat hit to the original, is this a different 4HA, than the white 4HA?

my original evo had the 2 hole atomiser and produced great throat hit from the word go. when i very 1st used the black evo with the new 4 hole it still had a good throat hit but not as good as the original. however, after about 2 days use it really starts to shine and matches the throat hit of the original. so i think a breaking in period is required to reach full performance.

ive added a text box that appears on the video explaining this now (its towards the end of the video) as i think it was one of the bits that i had to cut out to reduce the overall length..........damn you youtube!!!!!

Hi thanks for another great review I have 2 Evos and 2 mighty atoms, and awaiting for my black hopefully tomorrow.
It's the only e cigs I have and never tried anything else.and happy watching the treads and you alone really have been a great help and I am sure all other newbees say the same ..thanks

well my original evo had a 2 hole atomiser and the black one is a 4 hole atomiser. i cant honestly say that i can notice a massive difference between the two though as my original evo had a good draw anyway. the actual metal column on the new atomiser is also tapered rather than being straight but i dont know if that is an improvement or simply a new design feature. it still has the cut off feature but i very rarely activate it and i find the batteries take slightly less effort to light the led.

another difference i noticed was that the original evo produced a great throat hit right from the very 1st puff but the black evo produced a "nice" throat hit from straight out of the box and needed about 2 days use before it started to produce an excellant throat hit. so from my experience, the new atomiser needs to be "broken in" before you get the best out of it.

as you know, i love my original evo but since getting the black one ive not touched it for 2 weeks. not because the black one performs better but simply because the black evo performs just as well as the original evo plus it looks so damn good and feels more comfortable in the hand.

so, there are actual physical differences between the original evo and the black one but in truth, they both perform equally well.

the black one does look the dogs bollox though!

the evo black is a limited edition? is it? do you have any idea how many is made, and does this mean intellicig will not reproduce it? thanks in advance...

i really dont know if the black EVO or spare parts will be available in the future or not but i honestly dont think its going to be a real "limited edition". to me, it would not make commercial sense for them to sell it and then totally wash their hands of it, especially as you can still purchase atomisers, carts and batteries for the original intellicig (the one they sold before the EVO)

the words "limited edition" could be interpreted in many ways. it could mean its a limited edition of just 50 made or it could mean its a limited edition of 10,000,000,000 made! lol

i honestly dont know either way guys n gals, so if you are unsure then give intellicig an email to ask them about it before you splash the cash.

thanks for the honest reply scott. i already hv 2 originals n then bought the limited edition simply because its called limited edition.

if thats a mktg strategy then they have done well. if its really limited edition then we have done very well.
ill probably drop them an email but not right now since im on my way to brighton for the weekend.
tapping the screen to type like now takes ages!
