I went with a friend today to the blood pressure clinic and they took my blood pressure 6 times and did an average. It came out 109 over 77. I am so happy that it has gone way down! However i am concerned now because i have never had this low of a blood pressure before. The lady did say that a lot of things can cause low blood pressure , such as dehydration. So i am going to up my water even more and see if it changes anything. So i would like to let people know that it is important to drink water when vaping. And on a good note it is lower! I believe that vaping and not smoking has made my blood pressure go down!

100/68 :D

Now if Vaping could just cure Arthritis :glare:

I am just about to turn 37 (young buck) and I am too wishing vaping could cure arthritis. Damnit! I sound like an old man picking up my little girl (from joint problems). I hope she doesn't have sexual identity issues, cause every time I pick her up I say "oh, boy!" LOL

Just wait until you hit 40.

One thing I have noticed though since I quit analogs is that things heal so much faster like strains or sprains, though nowhere near as fast as they did in my 20s. Lately I have been plagued with 2 rotators cuffs, 1 bicep tendon on right arm, and 1 triceps tendon on the left. I quit analogs back in september and ALL of them are finally healing up.

^^^Vermiform I've been told by my doctors that smoking made my conditions worse and that had a huge impact on my wanting to quit cigarettes. I do feel better since being off of them and have also noticed that things heal quicker. It could be due to the 02 saturation increase which allows for better cell regeneration.....

I'm 60. I've always had a "low" blood pressure. when they would take my BP I used to always make a point to say, not bad for a fat girl who smokes LOL. I'm sure they didn't appreciate that.
in the old days 120/80 was perfect, but they seem to have changed their minds now..............
congrats on yours, OP :)

Yup, I was a nurse so we always played with a sat meter to see how far our sat dropped with each drag. Fun game. Did the something similar with a portable breathalizer and that turned out to be a very, very bad idea. :D

Say, did something change about blood pressure "norms"?
I have always had low blood pressure, used to faint a lot when I was a young lady. My lowest ever reading at the doctor was 90/60 - and I had gone to the doctor because I was feeling faint and starting to see black spots (the kind you see before you faint).

Well, about 30 years and 40 more pounds later, I am fine. I do not miss the fainting spells at all.
But say, 109 / 77 is considered borderling high, now, in the US? In Germany, such readings are just fine. And no, I would not want to go back to fainting every few days.. no way :)

The OP is from Canada, so maybe that's why? Or, maybe it was not something told to the OP but something they surmised on their own -- it's not easy to tell based on the OP's OP.

Off topic again, but here's another difference between American and German (European) metrics. In the US, your cholesterol is given as a total of HDL, LDL, and 20% of triglycerides. Naturally, our readings seem out of sight to German and I believe other Europeans.

PS: Not very many Americans know about this, either.

I was told 120/80 is normal here in Canada.

120/80 was the norm for many years... but the human race isnt normal any more ;)
I was on BP meds and even while on it my BP was 145/95 is on avg when I smoked
Been vaping for about a yr now and quit taking BP meds and the latest visit to the Dr. the BP was at 110/70
so I would say vaping does has some long term benefits
BTW im 56 and smoked for 40 yrs 2-3 PAD
dont know if its due to my age or what but my hair is thinning out ;)
Bald but Healthy :)
