I had high blood pressure before starting vaping, 3 years later I still have high blood pressure.

Vaping isn't some magical cure all for high blood pressure. Smoking isn't a major cause of high blood pressure in the first place. It can "contribute" to high blood pressure, but it doesn't cause it, and vaping doesn't cure it.

I had low BP all my life then it suddenly went way up in 2010 (38 years old) and stayed there. I had been smoking since the age of 13. It did go down for a little while when I switched to vaping in 2013 but then went back up. I'm on a high dose of medication which keeps my BP hovering just a bit higher than normal and neither nicotine nor abstinence seems to affect it. I'm convinced my high BP is caused by something else altogether due to it's very sudden appearance and it being consistently high no matter what I do.

Reading these posts it had appeared to me that I was the only one who's BP stayed at the same high level after switching to vaping. I had so hoped it would go down, but nooooo. In fact my doc just increased the dosage of meds I have been taking :( But then I am under extreme stress right now. My husband has ALS and my son and I have been taking care of him at home. He is to the point of not being able to do anything for himself and is on oxygen and a ventilator and needs 24 hr care. I have to deal with everything my husband used to do plus talk to doctors and RN's and make decisions, also take care of his every need. I guess I know where the high blood pressure comes from. I can't even imagine how high it would be if I still smoked!

I actually went the opposite direction from most of the statements made here. BP was fine about the time I started vaping, but about a year in started elevating. Had get on meds for that, and it's now under control. Probably should mention that hypertension runs in both sides of my family, so I'm sure that genetics (and likely diet) play a much more significant role.
As stated earlier, vaping will not cure hypertension. Doesn't really cure anything, besides the craving for cigarettes.

Yep, it is a good cure for that. I did post earlier and said my BP has gone down, but maybe I should elaborate so that it does not sound like I was saying vaping is a cure all. My BP was only slightly elevated - no meds - just stress and I have become calmer since I started vaping - I figure it is from the not searching for a cig all the time. My vaping is very light compared to my cig usage... And I can set my PV down for hours, which is something I could never do with smoking...

I'm so sorry Ibitz. That kind of stress would have to take a toll. You, your husband and your family will be in my thoughts.

You can add 40 points to each of my blood pressure readings every time i walk into the clinic, hate the places.

That's not unusual. Best to take BP at home.
I've always had low to normal BP.
I chain vape before I go into the cardiologist office. (long wait)
    BP always a good reading.
    Everyone's body is different.

No it was the vaping because my BP was taken when I arrived and multiple times during my stay. It was only higher after I had just vaped up a storm in the ER Trauma room with 18MG waiting for clearance to be discharged.

Vaping probably isn't the healthiest thing to do but it's definitely a lesser harm than smoking. Also, you said yourself earlier that it only slightly raised your blood pressure.

Yes very slightly and when I said to the doctor it was high he said he wished his was as good as mine!
