Precisely why I am holding off on it. Either it has to come down in price or I look elsewhere for a different ecig. I can't jusify paying that right now, considering my 510 works so well. But I sooooo want a new system, so so bad! I just don't know what to get. The bloog just looks so sweet! Such an awful dilemna.

If you like great TH, I cannot recommend the Bloog.

My volt works very well. For flavour and TH, the bottom coil Volt cartos outperform any CE2 variant I've had or modded.

Pick up the Volt kit, and a cheapo PCC from China.

I am a happy vapin' man

It'd be possible to drip on a carto but I don't think it comes off the same as the upped flavour and vapor of dripping on an atomizer.

This definately can be done, you just remove the batting from a carto. However, DO NOT attempt this unless you're using a manual battery.

As for flavour/vapour from dripping on the carto, you're better off just leaving the stuffing in as there's no perceptable change (that I've found)

at this point, if you are only using a 510, your best bet for a basic change of gear is to pick up an Ego battery and an ego charger... your atties won't change... and you'll go from 3.2 to 3.7v and experience a whole new vape...

Jay, I think you've got it backwards. Ego's come off at 3.2v regulated. 808's are the one's that come off at 3.7V I believe.

When I get time, I'll search for that thread (somebody actually tested voltages from batteries - Joye's were at 3.2, 808's at 3.7).

I would say that's just about right since the Ego booster takes the ego from 3.3 to 4.7

See I'd just get another Ego battery over a 510. If I got a 510, I'd just end up using all my existing atties and it wouldn't look like a cig anymore.

I just wanted to add the Volt/Bloog to my existing arsenal. As far as I know, it's the best ecig for it's size. Sure, I could strap on a clearomizer to a 510 and be a happy camper, but then again I may as well just do that with my Ego.

I'm just gonna go for it. $35+shipping isn't much of a gamble.

i haven't had one, but i researched it hard and talked with a bunch of friends and reviewers and they all said... its a great kit for a starter or a beginner or somone who needs a cigarette lookalike... but its not as good as a 510 with a good atty.
Wrongo! Thew system performs better than any 510 out there including Lrs. It is just do darn expensive. The volt from Smokeless Image is what the price point should be for it.

DanesPits, you shouldn't be looking down for a new system... the Bloog/Volt is a step up from the KR808 but a step down from the 510... you would almost assuredly be dissapointed.

I'd argue this one. I've got a 510, ego, 5v box mod, vv buzz, P16, ProVari, and just picked up a mini reo, and I still exclusively use the bloogs. It's easy, vapes great, and I'm not bringing around a ton of gear/batteries.

I personally dont see the Volt as a step down more like an option. I have been a vaper for a long time and before using the Volt I would have agreed with you whole heartedly. I really like the Volt yes the battery life does have something to be desired but the Cartos are wonderful! I still like my BB but hate to say it I love my Volt!

honestly, if you are really that tight on cash, have you thought about a kit mod from Madvapes?? their 5v battery box mods are dirt cheap if you put it together and still affordable if you buy one premade.

I also would suggest changing up your atties for the CE2 Clearomizers... I've just discovered them and they've taken my vaping to a new height that i've never experienced before.

I did get a PM regarding the VOLT. I am definately considering it. Is it like an EGO? Can you use 510 parts on it?

JAYTHEGUY, what I am looking for is better battery life and more volts. My 510 batts, I have been using since January and they aren't charging like they used to. So instead of getting an hours worth on one battery, I get 30-40 minutes before it dies. And thats really really bad. I was looking at happy jack's site about batteries and how the cells don't keep charge after awhile and I think that is what happened to my 510's. They work but they can't hold a full charge anymore. I really need a good ecig too, that has excellent TH and doesn't make flavors bland. I will die of that happens. That is part reason why I keep my 510 around, I love the flavor it puts out. It is amazing. Also, another reason why I havn't gotten anything else is because my 510 is small and I love the pen style better than the big cone kind. I did vape off my friends ego this weekend, and honestly? I didn't like it. I got burnt atty taste alot, and it was just too big in my hands. That is part reason why I wanted a bloog, cuz it was small. But then some peeps tell me go provari and darwin, so now I don't know anymore. This is just too hard to decide. I also have realized, I don't want to have to carry around alot of gear. I lose so much all the time, with my 510 stuff, cuz I have to have so much stuff on the go when I leave the house and find that I get frustrated and lose time and just end up taking my 510 passthrough and vaping off the battery cuz now my car charger doesn't work. It's not the car charger, its the cigarette lighter that isn't working. I can't charge my cell phone when I am driving. It's just an utter mess. Plus I ended up breaking the cord to my usb pcc, so I havn't charged a 510 batt in weeks. Then I went through like 4 - 510 passthrough's already since January because the cord on the 510 passthrough is so crappy and it severs so easy and then it's screwed cuz I don't know how to patch the wires back together nor do I want a passthrough that is all taped up with stupid electrical tape. So ya, that's my dilemna!

Fixed :p Walls of text hurt my eyes!

Sounds like you're absolutely against bigger batts. I use a REO and have an eGo so it feels tiny in comparison lol

I would pick the eGo over the Volt, but the Volt over a 510. You can use an adapter on the Volt for your 510 atties though I assume it looks less than elegant. If you're dripping though, you can't use the auto batts which is the whole point of these new kr8s.. they're meant to be used with the cartos.

Sorry you broke your stuff

Dopeh I remember you had to fix me back in the day! I believe it was in the gurly thread! hahahaha. Dopeh to the rescue! God I can never get it right! I have heard good things with the REO as well. A good friend of mine swears by his REO. I did not know about the new kr8's though. Is there a link?

i'm just glad i started with my knock off eGo and went to volt .. if it was the other way around i would have been very disappointed, as Danes mentioned ego attys seem to taste burnt after a couple days .. and @ 10-20 $ a atty i'd prefer a pack of 5 disposable cartos for 6$ > and since usd is less its even cheaper .. $8 shipping and it got here as quick as my MLV order shipped from Ontario.. go figure eh ..

Edit: A Reo will be in my lineup someday, once i break even again..

The Bloog and the Volt are the same product, just different branding.

What I'd recommend. Get the manual batteries and a KR8-510 adaptor so you can use all your current Atties, Smart carts, tanks etc etc. The adaptor adds about 1-2cm to the overall length. As for Outer diameter, the KR8 bats are just barely larger than the 510 equipment. A 78mm (Standard) KR8 + Carto is slightly longer than a fully assembled 510 + Atty + Cart. If you went KR8 + Adaptor + Atty + Cart it could look a little wierd unless you went with the Mini bats.

My ONLY issue with the KR8 system is it doesn't lend its self well to testing juices because you have to fill a carto, and if you don't like it, you have to clean the carto which is a PITA. I use all my 510 / Ego equipment when I test juices and my KR8 gear when I'm out and about as it's pretty well fill and forget.

Ok well that made my decision right there. Thanks so much for that info! I won't be getting this due to the fact that I DIY and it's alot. I am constantly doing recipes and would need to be testing and fast because I realize I will sit at the table for 10 hours straight just to get some flavors right. Ok let's keep talkin' everyone! I am getting some good responses here and some awesome advice!!

Yep that was the thread lol

You can't go wrong with a REO if you can handle the size.. The Volt/Bloog are the new kr8. They updated the auto batt sensor and cartos.

I have to get a multimeter because I swear my volt cartos are lower resistance than the Bloogs. Volt hits harder for me.

Is it the Cartos or the Batterys? Do the Volt cartos hit harder on the Bloog battery as well?

Also, it could be a manufacturing thing too. I did notice that my "Red" cartos didn't hit as hard as my "Black" cartos, and I'd think that may have something to do with it?
