I was really surprised to day while watching Comedy Central. I was just having a vape and saw a Blu commercial on TV. I was surprised because in the US tobacco is banned from airing commercials on TV. The commercial was done well for the first one I've seen, and makes me curious if we'll see more of them and if vendors who sell quality APV's will use television as a marketing medium.

Electronic cigarettes are not yet officially a tobacco product.
If and when the FDA declares that Chapter IX of the FSPTCA applies to electronic cigarettes, then they will officially become a tobacco product.

Any company can run TV ads. I saw a commercial from another company about a year ago. The problem is most companies can't afford such advertising but now that Blu is owned by Lorillard, the makers of Newport cigarettes, they have a little spare change to throw around.
Interesting- I met a lady last night who has been using Blu's for 4 years now.
She had no idea about the community and still called what she did "smoking."
Anyway, she said that just a few months ago, Blu stopped selling rechargeables and so she has to buy disposable e-cigs now and is not impressed with the battery life. She was amazed at my Reo and wants to know more about other options as well- I gave her the URL to this forum!

That's why I don't stealth vape. Let the world see a full sized tube mod with a rebuildable on top. I can kill one of those cig sized batteries in an hour if I have nothing better to do.
4 Years on Blu must be a world record. But, Blu sells rechargeable batteries. They did not discontinue them.
Maybe they just aren't available from where she's used to buying them. I just sent her a long email detailing what to do when she gets here (post in the newbie section) etc., and gave her a link to the Blu E-cig section here. Anyway, she now knows there's a better way. She really liked the vapor and taste of my Reo!!
