One of the first things I learned in marketing in college (one of the few courses worth my time because of an awesome professorl!) is the simple rule that the best products seldom win out - the best *marketed* products do. Blu has one hell of a marketing campaign going on, and it's worked a little too well for them quite honestly...

Personally, I'm here and enjoying my 510 as we speak *because* of blu. I originally purchased a blu because quite frankly I bought into the slick ads and it was the very first e-cig I'd ever seen. After lots of waiting, I eventually got it, and it's an okay e-cig, but I much prefer the 510 now after having it a few days. That said, I'm keeping the blu as a backup and an auto.

Blu currently has several quality control issues and shipping issues they're working through, but I think they do have an okay product once they get through that. It's the customers they upset in the meantime at issue. That said, I'd suspect *if* they can handle these issues, they'll be very successful - I'm sure from a finances point of view if they can keep their returns down they already are.

On the upside, I think it's attracted a *LOT* of new users to e-cigs in general as it's simply made people aware of their existence. And on the downside, I'd imagine it's attracted more attention from the FDA as well...

I ordered a blu about three hours before I found this place. I was bummed out that I didn't find all the great info here before I ordered.

I waited a little over 3 weeks to get it, and I was NOT impressed with their customer service. When I placed my order (like a lot of people here) there was nothing on the website that said it was out of stock. It wasn't until I got my confirmation email that they said it would take two weeks to ship. I waited a little over two weeks, and then contacted their customer service via live chat. When I complained about the wait, and the lack of information on the website, the guy just gave me some copy and paste response. He said it would be here by Aug. 4th, and did the chat window version of hanging up on me. I will never order from them again if I can find cartridge somewhere else.

That being said, I just got my blu in the mail today, and so far I really like it. It is working well, (knock on wood), tastes pretty good, and has surprisingly good vapor production.

If I had it to do over again, I would have ordered a 510 from Totally Wicked, and I'm sure I will order one eventually.

However, a few hours into the blu and so far it seems really nice and works well.

I wonder how much they lost just by people getting fed up from waiting for the shipping and lack of communication in ETA.

I am one of those people. I got tired of waiting as well as concerned about the ability to purchase replacement parts. In the end I ordered a 510 from TW. I await its arrival with baited breath.

BLU is Great! It's why I became a vapor. no..I don't own one, but I saw an advertisement for them and I agree, very slick. But I'm 51 years old and cheap so I decided to do some researching on e-cigarettes and that's what brought me to this forum. I have a 510, kissbox and now a prodigy and no blu. But I've been off analogs for a month and I'll still say it was the "Blu" ads that did it!
