25 years smoking 2-3 packs per day analog, bought blu premium100, been analog free for 2 weeks but I need something more powerful now. Im scared of trying stuff because i dont want it to blow up in my face. Whats ego? Kgo? etc. If anyone here started out with Blu and moved onto better stuff can you suggest it to me? Even if it's expensive, I dont care! Can't put a price on health.

I have kits from Green Smoke, Vapor4life, njoy arriving soon.

My first post ever, btw. I'll keep silently reading these forums but man it's a lot of stuff to comprehend. I just don't want to FAIL.

I personally would get an Ego twist or Spinner with a vivi nova 2.5 tank. You can not get much easier for a new person. Mah is the usage time on a batt 100mah=about 1 hour of usage. You want something to last all day without charging every 3 hours. You have the capability of trying different voltages with the twist to find what you like and the nova comes with 3 heads that screw on and off and allows you to try different resistance. Add some juice and a charger and you will be on your way. Remember its always nice to have a backup for everything. The twist is bigger than a cig look-alike but will save a lot of upgrades and money in the long run. I am def into saving money.

I used a Blu starter kit up until a couple of months ago. My first step was to get an Ego starter kit. One nice thing I was able to use up my leftover Blu cartridges by just screwing onto the Ego battery, although they didn't last long and tasted burnt withina couple of hours, probably because the Ego battery puts out more volts. I am now using an Ego Twist, which allows you to dial the voltage up or down, fine-tuning the flavor, vapor, throat hit, vapor temperature of your vape. I would definitely recommend an Ego Twist battery.

As for what you put on the battery, lots of folks here will give you different opinions, all worthwhile. My experience was first with the atomizer and cartridges that came with my starter kit. The cartridges were worthless, terrible to re-fill, leaked, had a filler taste, and the filler would burn. I started to drip my ejuice straight onto my atomizer with an empty cartridge attached, and fell in love with flavor. I still drip whenever I can. For on the go, I use a mini Vivi Nova. It holds 2ml of juice, which lasts me almost a day. The mini screws right onto the battery and is small enough that it sits flush with the Ego battery.

Finally, as for juice, I am still experimenting. I liked the Pina Colada and Cherry Blu cartridges, but found I don't like the fruit flavors I've been trying, I prefer the sweeter, creamier flavors that Blu doesn't have. I smoked half a pack a day and started with 24 mg ejuice, which was way too much for me. I would get headaches and nauseous, but it would probably be OK for you if you were 2-3 PAD.

It's a journey and you'll spend lots of time and money experimenting, but you'll have lots of resources here, so ask away.

Get a twist battery:
Joyetech Ego-C Twist 650mah Blue Battery [650 twist bl] - $19.00 : Vapors Choice, Ecigarettes & Parts (most others out of stock, I'm sure there's other stores that have more colors/sizes in stock).

And a charger:
Ego USB Charger [EGO-charger] - $4.50 : Vapors Choice, Ecigarettes & Parts

And a clearomizer:
Apoloe Stainless C8 2 ML Cartomizer/Clearomizer [C8 SS] - $9.00 : Vapors Choice, Ecigarettes & Parts (sold out right now)
or GotVapes Vision Mini ViVi Nova™ 2.5ml 2.4ohm [gv-MiniViViNova510-2.4ohm] - $9.45 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more (a lot of people recommend the vivi nova)

Those are just links if your looking to buy something right now. I had the problem where I didn't know where to get anything, then I just picked a store that had good prices. (I purchased from Got-Vapes and was happy except for the kit's Excalibur V2 Tanks which leak on me).

You can get a kit but I found the kits had the clearomizers that tend to leak which is annoying. Make sure to get a good clearomizer.

The eGo will be a good size larger than your blu, so keep that in mind if that bothers you.

If your looking for a higher quality product and have some money, go with an Ovale kit:
e-Cigs - OVALE ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE (e-cigarette)

I just ordered a elips-c kit. Pretty new, and very good reviews so far. More of a medium travel size in between your blu and an eGo.

Good luck happy vaping.

Welcome to the forum! Yes ther is an overwhelming amount of information on this forum. Do you want a cig-a-like, or do you want something that REALLY works? If so, go with an eGo, of kGo as others have mentioned. You can, and should buy your juice separate from those pre-filled carts. They are very expensive in the long run.

Volt is a popular cig-a-like brand.

If your happy with the blu you will love a kgo and a cartomizer. I started with an 1100 mah kgo kit and a clearomizer, I think its a solid choice...works well and its cheap. That kit got me off analogs cold turkey.
Al
I second that.
Been using my Kgo + cartomizers for 7 months now.
The bigger batteries have more voltage which produces hotter vapor & more of a cigarette feel on the inhale/exhale.

You cant go wrong with an ego. Good battery life and good performance. I started with an ego and was using boge cartomizers but i wish that clearomizers were out then. Clearomizers are easy to use and fill and most offer good performance, just make sure you are getting the right resistance for an ego which will be around 2.0 to 2.5 ohms for a quality amount of vaper. Trust me you will be surprised in the difference of performance from an ego compared to a blu. Also its a lot cheaper to buy juice and get away from prefilled cartos.

Congrats and welcome to ECF. The major diff is:
eGo (non Twist) fires at 3.3-3.4 volts
Kgo fires at 3.7 volts
I've used both and have noticed the difference...Kgo is also less expensive.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Think about what you are really trying to do. Do you want something that looks and acts like a cigarette? If so a mini system like Volt is probably the best thing to try. If you don't mind something that is relatively heavy and needs one hand to operate it, IE can't be used "no hands" like a cigarette, then try an inexpensive variable voltage battery and inexpensive tank system.

In the end there is no really right solution, just the solution that works for you. I was a pack a day plus smoker for about 50 years and have been off of cigarettes for almost four months using the Volt system. If you want dependable easy operation, the KISS principle, you can't go wrong with the Volt.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it, your results and mileage may vary, no warrantee or guarantee is expressed or implied.

I started with the Blu and actually still use it every day. I like the small size and don't mind charging the batteries with the PCC. Only now I refill all the used Blu cartos I have instead of buying prefilled. For home, I have 2 Volt X2 650mah batteries with clearomizers...excellent vape and easy...all of Smokeless Images batteries and cartos/clearos are compatible with each other. When I run out of Blu cartos and/or the batteries die, I will probably buy the Volt cig sized kit.

Like you, I was able to quit my 2+ pack a day cigarette habit using a cig-alike similar to the Blu but I only lasted a week before the aggravation factor drove me to search for something better. I added some Twists and Vivi Novas and thought I had died and gone to vape heaven. If you want dead simple plus an excellent vaping experience forget anything that looks like a cigarette. You can't go wrong with a variable voltage Twist, KGO or Vision Spinner. Pair it with a couple of Vivi Novas and you are off to the races.

This review is for the Ego Twist but will give you the general idea about variable voltage.

The first part of this video will show you how to clean the Vivi Nova. I clean mine after two or three fills and it takes two or three minutes.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and recommendations. I have been surfing a lot since reading your recommendations. Let me know if I'm on the right track, here is what I have purchased so far;

ProVari™ Variable Voltage V2 ECig starter kit $280
includes a 510 atomizer, 18650 Extension Cap, and Two 18650 AW IMR Batteries
ProVari Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit V2

plus....

2 GotVapes VISION ViVi NOVA™ 3.5ml V2.5 REBUILDABLE TANKS $26
GotVapes VISION ViVi NOVA™ 3.5ml V2.5 REBUILDABLE TANK [gv-VIVINOVA-TANKV2.5] - $12.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

So all that's left to do is select the right ejuice and I'm set? Keep in mind, I only have experience with the 100% VG juice that Blu uses, and if possible I would like to keep it that way, so I can judge the difference between vaping from a provari and Blu ecig. Can anyone suggest, regardless of flavors, their favorite VG-only ejuices and/or vendors?

Also, am I missing any hardware or accessories you think might help this noob out, besides the provari + vivi nova 2.5?

PS I have placed orders for the products today, they have not arrived yet. Hopefully with your help and ecf, I will be much wiser once they arrive. At this point I have more money than brains.

Thank you, I mean it.
