SimpleJack instead of spending a lot of money on juices you may not even like try the classifieds here where there are tons of different types of juices for greatly reduced prices and without the usual big shipping fees some vendors charge.
You can also get ecig kits or pieces of whichever model you want to try for a reduced fee too.
Good Luck to you and it is confusing at first but you shouldn't need to spend $60. a month just to start out honestly.

Ditto only I have the 100 mah Ego batts. Last me better than a day. Still like my 510 for short trips out to dinner. I also recommend cig-not.com. Excellent customer service. THANKS VICKY

No wonder the OP is confused! People try to help, but mis information still remains mis information!!!

510's are most certainly available as a two piece: pre-filled cartomizer + 510 battery, available from a lot of vendors. (Sherid, you are an ultra member? )

100 mAh Ego? (Rob-o)

The problem with all this is that I have seen people start out with e cigs and rush back in frustration to the store to buy analogs and barely taking the time stopping to dump their e cigs in the trash. The Internet is confusing enough as it is when looking up e cigs since the lies that abound are legend with tons of misdirection and falsehoods. I just passed the one year mark analog free after +3 decades of 1.5 pack/day Red; if anything, I want to see other people succeed.

Only a dimwit would take up ecigs as a hobby; we are here to quit smoking so there is some sense of urgency to all this. In fact, the decisions we take here can be truly life saving.

I do not care if people call me a tyrant but if you are going to open your mouth to venture an opinion, at least get your facts straight. Ecigs are complicated enough without asking new users to put up with your incompetence and stupidity.

If I sound upset, I am. I just had a ex girlfriend diagnosed with lung cancer. She tried quitting with e cigs 3 months before I did, and gave up in disgust. We never got that close, but it was still someone I knew. Her failure certainly preyed on my mind when my daughter put a gun to my head and asked me to quit smoking as her MBA gift. I was thinking that my only hope was to lock myself up in a clinic to break a lifelong habit.

I certainly have made my fair share of expensive mistakes, but I kept at it. It has succeeded for me.

So if you are going to open your mouth, gets your facts straight. We are not here to proliferate ourselves, but to share information and learn.:glare:

There is a "deals and steals" thread here at ECF which can offer some great deals on juice. Just recently honeyville vapor threw up a special on 5ml samplers, only 98cents each. Selection is a bit limiited (just using them as an example of a current deal), but the price is nice. I'd suggest subscribing to that thread and watch it daily, always some special coming down the line.

Then there is DIY, which has its own subsection here at ECF. Once you get the mechanics down on the juice you like the best, that is by far the most cost effective option. The learning curve is a bit steeper than other methods, but it will always be a give/take with money vs. convenience.

Personal opinion: if you should tire of charging your batts constantly, as I did with my KR808 kit (I vape too much for it to keep up) check out the Riva or eGo kits. They have been mentioned several times earlier in the thread. Liberty-Flights has good prices on these, and their battery capacity is anywhere from 3x to 5x a standard KR808 battery, should last several hours (6+) of heavy constant vaping, or all day if you are more occasional. About the size of a sharpie, and if you can get past that size difference you will have a good experience. Having a battery 650mAh or larger can negate the necessity of a car charger, USB passthru or a PCC for the majority of situations. There is a USB passthru eGO if you have the itch, fantastic in that it will charge the internal battery WHILE YOU CONTINUE TO VAPE!

The 510 connection will give you the most flexibility in choosing cartridges, cartomizers, low resistance attys (which aren't recommended for the standard 100-300mAh sized batts, but work fine on the 600mAh batts). KR808 cartos are fine for what they are, and what I started with. Eventually I needed to have more options, so moved to the 510 and haven't looked back!

As many others have already mentioned, the KR808 is a great choice for starting out. MadVapes is a great company, with selection and awesome prices. Stick with the 808s if they do the trick for you, just keep your mind open to other possibilities. Who knows, you could end up with a 7.4V mod in your hands before you know it! :)

I started on Blu's back when they had separate atomizers/carts - the new cartomizers are fantastic in comparison and can be refilled (as long as you haven't smoked them to the point it tastes like burning) - but the cheapest option are blank cartomizers and 3rd party juice. Blu uses Johnson Creek which has some pretty good flavors, Ikenvape RY4 is awesome. Just beware if you move on to bigger/better batteries as the Blu's are reverse polarity from most other varieties, and their chargers can't be used with other batteries, and visa versa... good luck!
