Blue Foam Cart Mod??

It's really easy,
first you need to get some blue marine foam.
They use it for aquarium filters, so Petsmart or another provider will have it.
And cheap I got for very large pieces for less then 10 bucks.
Next slide the plasic juice holder piece out of your cart.
Take out old filler (poly cotton is what I call it)
Cut a piece that will fit into the cart. (you may want to rinse it in cold water)
Replace old foam with new foam.
Fill

Vape happy

Very small piece. Should be about the same size as the stuffing you want to replace.
I cut mine so that it just fit into the top of the plastic cup. Then I cut off what ever over hangs. Play with it a little and you'll get the feel. I thing the measurements would be about 1/8"X1/8"X1/2" give or take

or goto strictlyejuice.com and pay 75 cents for a cute little baggie of it precut...People are so smart. Just not me. Someone else here mentioned where to get it or I'd have a huge amount taking up valuable space in my little hole in the world. Are you big rig driver BTW?

Thanks Chef and deitra. I've given it a shot and keep getting juice in my mouth. So far I'm only successful at dripping.

Midnighttoker...Been there and done that...Tips make it a nice way to earn money. I worked for a pizza place for 2 years and as a single mom my kids never went hungry. I was never one to do the welfare thing. State tries to run your life just a tad to much for my tastes. Did something right they r in college. Your other job sounds fascinating. Hey there Midnight I just started a thread where I have photos to show how to do the Blue Foam Mod and Straw Mod
Blue foam rocks! It is the only thing I use. I have foam in all of my carts. As soon as I get new carts, I toss the fluff out and fill them with foam. It is not worth the bother to use anything else.
Has anyone tried the DART? Does it make it better?

So...I've tried making it small (like a plug) or long (like cart filler). Neither makes much difference. One of two things happens.
Either I get a bunch of juice in my mouth or when I vape it I get this awful, horrible burned taste, but not like a regular, my-atty-is-too-dry burn taste, it also has a sort of undercurrent of wet paper taste to it. It is disgusting. (This also happens halfway through a PTB mod.)
I'm figuring that either I've got too much juice (snack/flood) or not enough (icky taste), but there is literally no middle ground here. No matter what I do, one of the above nasty things happens.
Also, I should mention I'm using a super-mini with an internal cart.
Any advice?

I'm using a Sidesho with the blue foam. I've tried it every which way. They all seem to be about the same but if I had to pick one way, its this. I cut the foam a little wider than the inner cart and not quite as long. In order not to flood it, I drip about 10 to 12 when its dry and 6 to 8 when I'm refilling it. I've only overfilled twice and got some in my mouth, but both those times, I knew I put too much in even before I even took a drag.
I've noticed a taste difference myself, but I'm not sure if it's the foam or not. I never had a problem with the polycotton stuff using a spring mod but I don't have any more. Does anybody know what the material that comes in the blank carts would be called and where I'd find some?
Midnight, it's just regular 100% polyester polyfil that you can buy in craft-type stores for pillow stuffing. I've read to make sure it doesn't contain flame-......ant because that can be something bad to vape.

I'm still trying to figure it out and it's the most frustrating part of vaping. It seems that everything taste good for the first couple of hits after filling then it's downhill from there.
Right now I'm just cutting a V-shape piece of blue foam about twice the width and half the length of the cart. I have it sitting on a drinking straw with small holes, cut about 2/3rds the length of the cart. It's easy to push down in the middle of the "V" after filling.
I'm going to try the 902 and some cartomizers. I also bought adapters to take my 510 to a 901 and to an 808. That way I'll have some things to compare and play with until I find something I can live with.
BTW...I did try the dart, in fact I made 20 of them! At first I thought I had found the answer, but nope.

Okay, thanks. I don't think the blue foam adds any taste on its own and its by far the best I've used, but I TOTALLY agree with taste going away. Its been driving me crazy. Based on another thread, I switched my flavor last night just to see what would happen and so far I've been tasting the whole cart. Very weird. I'll go back to my fav flavor next and see what happens.
