hi all,

i know the blue foam mod works for a lot of you but the marineland foam is not available so easily in the UK from what I have seen.

has anyone ever tried using the Juwel blue foam? it comes in coarse and fine, and i was wondering if one of those would work well instead?

I have a jewel tank but no new foam pads at the moment, but would of course buy them im bulk if i could use it for vaping.

Thanks!

Just got two Fluval in yesterday (from that ebay link), but I am so new to vaping that I don't have much to compare it with. I have cut one Fluval for a 510 and one for an 801 - had to recut the 801 because it gurgle-flooded the atty at first so I made the Fluval bigger. I am having variable results but can't really notice any difference between the original filler and the Fuval to be honest. Maybe I will have to try the straw mod and/or try different Fluval sizes to see some improvement.

With my limited experience, I can't really recommend or advise against. I put that ebay link in because I thought it may be a cheap way to test the Fluval UK. It looks very much like the blue foam I've only seen pictures of here on ECF.

Give me another couple of months experimentation and implementation of ideas on ECF and I'll be in a position to help more on this subject.

This looks like the foam I use. It's great because the width of the foam pads is just the right length to fit in my carts. I just cut them in a strip and the cut out slightly squared V shapes, (similar to the blue foam darts shape) not too thick and insert them with tweezers. (I kinda dunk it in there with the tweezers initially to get the foam soaked and then top off.)

Trust me, I tried MANY filler mods (very frustrating!) and the easiest, so far, has been just the foam. It allows me to vape all the liquid in the cart. I tried polyfill and it would either flood the atty or not wick all the juice. Foam has also given me the most consistent results.

I sometimes drip at home but I have to have a cart for work breaks and driving and this worked for me.

I have ordered samples (mostly VG) from Johnson Creek, BesteCiggy, Cignot, cartos from V4L & Heaven's Gifts and wintergreen from Tasty Vapor.

So far, the only ones I've been truly happy with have been Cignot and TV.

Didn't care for the tastes in the JV Red Oak samplers. BesteCiggy flavors were okay but VERY weak. Not a fan of filled cartos so far... I get that perfumey taste with them and they have no vapor. I think it's the built in atties rather than the juice.

My main beef with HG was that it took a month to get to me in the mail. For that reason I prefer to order from suppliers here in the states. Not sure how they are with shipping in the UK though. May be better overseas.

i am thinking about ordering some bits from heaven gifts because they have a usb passthrough for my m401 which i can't find in the uk for some reason. might order some more stuff to make it work the postage costs. one can never have too many attys it seems, even though i am still on my first ones

i got a adapter to use cartos with my 510 and that worked really well. the cartos were from cloud9vaping in the uk so i am not sure if there is a difference in those, but will try some from HG and see how they are

i love the totally wicked juices, but man they are expensive
