I tend to favor red LED's myself, so that's what my provari has.

I find it doesn't bother my eyes like blue does. It's the same for any lights in my bedroom at night. If there's any blue LED's on I can't sleep at all, toss on some red ones and sleep like a baby.

The red light on the provari is strong enough to shine through my finger when pressed though lol. Doesn't bother me at all, just an observation.

As far as advantages, only if you prefer the color blue AFAIK.

All this time I thought the blue ones were made with magic pixi dust, while the red ones were made with the blood of gnomes. hehe.

I am so close to just buying the mini with red. This darn procise finished tank is screaming to be put on a non black chrome unit...

I just did, along with extension cap, a few of both batteries, battery boxes, cartos, case and extended warranty. I'm happy. I've been vaping over a year now and I just bought my first two mods at VapeBash on Saturday, so I've now bought three mods in a week!

Is there any advantage with the blue LED over the red LED visually? Less glare or not as bright? - or is it just that it's relatively new and not available as much?

to me it just seems like a preference they were out of blue when i ordered and personally i like red so wasn't any biggie to me I loving my mini with the red LED it's my first experience with provari and variable voltage so I don't have anything to compare it too but I'm totally happy with it.

When I started out and was using small batts, I was actually pretty disappointed a vendor sent me a red/orange led when I ordered a blue one. The main reason I actually wrote them (and got no response) was that I could see the blue much better in daylight and knew if it was/wasn't working. Don't know that would apply to this model, but it did to me on the end of a 901 battery.

The blue LED ProVari was a limited edition run
The initial batch sold well so they did another batch of blue for the V2's which sold out in 10 days !!!
So you'll have to be quick - they are doing another batch of blue LED's which they think will be ready by the end of April.
Follow them on Facebook - Provape Inc
They keep you up to date with when they will be available on there but if you hang around they will be gone.
Lots of people on there asking for a green batch too so fingers crossed for people on that one ! :)

Thanks Zotsey.. end of April, hmm.. tough call.. order now or wait.. don't *need* the cool colors, but I'm tired of the stupid 510 ego style batteries at work, since I leave the provari at home.. Starting a new job on April 30, was hoping to start it off with a new Provari.

Maybe I'll just go with black satin + red LCD.. ugh.. first world problems..
