So i ordered a boge f16 off big bang and a replacement carto. Watched a couple youtube videos to see how to fill it. Mine didnt come with the lil condom thing they say help fills it so i found another video on how to fill without it. I followed directions, i got very little vapor. Im not talkin bout just a small cloud, but hardly any. I dont know what i did wrong. Iv never really used carto tanks so not familiar at all. I'v heard great things tho so i'd really like to get this thing workin

I use f16 cartos all the time.
While i usually use the condom method you see on youtube, sometimes i fill the carto from the top first, as in dripping liquid into the filler until it's all wet(it takes a while to get the filler soaked) then i put the carto into the tank and fill the tank and wait for a while(like 20 minutes or so)

I fill the tank with a dry carto, turn my battery off, then take multiple (non firing) inhales to fill the carto. You can see the air bubbles coming from the pre punched holes. I dont take typical drags, i take short, hard drags like i am trying to blow a bubble with hard chewing gum if that makes sense. I drag it until the bubbles get tiny, and then check the carto filler. I can usually see the top of the filler getting wet from the outside in. If it isnt, I keep dry pulling. If it IS to that point, I may drop a couple drips down the carto like a typical fill to wet the top of the cotton. Let it sit for a few minutes, do a few more dry pulls, refill the tank because a good amount of the juice will be sucked into the carto, then fire it up and its good to go.

Whats your carto resistance, battery volatge, dual coil or single coil?

there are tons of videos that will better explain filling a carto than i, but for the love of god, fill the tank by sliding the carto down in the tank. NOT by removing the top cap. replacing the top cap will push a ton of liquid out.

sharp draws without power should suck juice into the carto; you should see bubbles rising from the punched holes. if you do it to the point it floods, its full and overflowed into the center post. i can't really make mine do that, only once and i constantly do it.

i just got into carto tanks myself with these tanks, cheap and simple. i love the crackle they have that i don't get with evod's.

I purchased the dual coil boge f16. It was 2.4 i believe. I realized i messed up the carto the first time by doing it wrong. Threw in the extra 2.2 i bought and followed precisely. I must have not waited long enough or somethin. Cuz i did exactly as ya'lls describing. Could trying to vape to early be the problem of no vapor?

I have to recommend against "priming" your cartomizer that way. For that matter, priming anyway other than liquid through the top or with a syringe into the polyfill I'm strongly against. Taking dry pulls with a dry cartomizer will work, but life span and full function of it will be impaired. Not to mention, when you just drop liquid into a cartomizer in a tank, the liquid is not going to saturate all the way to the bottom. Air pressure is what keeps a cartomizer wicking more properly. Also, another not to mention...but mentioning, taking dry pulls with a cartomizer is a quick way to flood your cartomizer and cause the air hole to be compressed down. Once your center hole starts to collapse, your carto is bunkified. I do take random dry pulls, but that is just with certain liquids that don't wick as well as others.

I have only used F17 (same carto size) and have been more than satisfied. BUT, I use single coil 1.7-2.0's on a 3.7v and have started to use a VV device all the way up to 5.5v with no problems. Big flavor and vapor.

How long do you wait? What does it taste like? Do you get any flavor of the liquid you are trying to use?

I probably waited 10-15 minutes. And it didnt taste bad. I actually tasted the flavor of the liquid i was using. Just like no vapor. I only have 1 replacement carto left. I wont be going to my b&m till wedn. I'll see if they can give me a hand. And the replacement is a 1.5 which iv read do not work well at all
