can i vape straight out of boge f16 carto?

hey all, i just received my smoktech dcc w/ the f16 boge cartomizers.
but as i don't have a dripping atty to taste flavors, i was wondering if i could just use f16 boges w/o putting it in the dcc tank to taste the juice? if so, do i just pour some liquid into the cotton swab thing inside?

i ask because i already accidentally flooded the inner cartomizer with juice and i'm vaping without any problems at the moment.
or could this be why i'm getting such low vapor production on my dcc?
