Boiling Cartos?

Anyone try this with the SI cartos? I want to give it a shot, I read that all I have to do is boil water, drop them in for 5 minutes and let them dry out........is that it?



p.s. Another "like" for Mr. Outlaw!! Got my Vapedudes order today and pulled the filler out of the cartos to make a juice tester.. awesome!!

I used to try to boil cartos, and I found that soaking them in Vodka actually worked better than boiling. However, I've given up on that for the same reason as mentioned before. They're cheap and not worth the fuss.

I tried the boiling on a batch of 25 cartos and it killed 11 of them. I then bought the ultimate plunger kit from My freedom smokes and it works wonderfully. It's a little pricey in my opinion but it really works great. I drop my cartos in a bowl of hot water for an hour and then use the plunger about 7-8 times on them, forcing water in and out of the carto, shake them out and the next day they are good to go. Takes less than a minute for each one.

They only have a 50/50 survival rate and it takes a long time

If you must clean them. Then get a standard syringe and an old carto condom. Cut the closed end of the condom off so it's a tube. Slide one end on the syringe. If you got the right size it should fit perfectly on it.
Boil water and get a bowl with vodka or alcohol in it.

Slide the carto on the other end of the condom and place in the hot water. Pull the plunger and then squirt it out into the sink. Do this until the filler looks white again. Then do the same with the vodka. Let dry for 48 hours.


OR

You could pitch them and buy a new box.

I've boiled SI cartos. Boil 15 mins, rinse, boil for another 15 min. Leave to dry for 3-4 days. Mine came out ok. I did it to try out when I was bored one Saturday.
