Great responses. I personally agree with many of these and empathize with those that are annoyed by the ones I disagree with.
The attempted word "vap" annoys me too. I'd accept vap' wherein the apostrophe connotes an abbreviated word but "vape" has an "e", dammit.
Also, any cigarette or smoking term/reference should be eliminated from our vocacbulary when discussing PVs. No matter how annoying others may find the phrase "personal vaporizer" it's an accurate generic term for the devices we all use. Way more acccurate than an "e-cigarette" or "e-smoke".
So here's one I didn't see mentioned, even though someone did point out the extra "T" in the abbreviated "atty".
Maybe it's only me but it's irksome when people refer to the plural of "atty" by adding an "s". As previously pointed out, "atty" has an extra "t" but givent that, more than one atty would be "atties", not "attys". Until we start stacking batterys instead of batteries, more than one atty should end in "ies", not "y".
