This is one of the reasons I switched over to boro tanks. Your atty will gunk up in the boro tank, but not like this.. Sucking this down and back up really gets me thinking...

so I’ve been looking at stuff. The tank and the atty are often separate except when the tank is an RTA, which does seem to happen. There are many kinds of each. I’m probably going to get 1 or at most 2, and the total for everything has to be low. What should I be buying?

it doesn’t make sense to spend all that much. I’m like 3/5ths of the way through titrating to zero nic. Down from 12 to 2.5 about to do 2.25 tomorrow. Seems to get hard around 3. Once I’m down to 1 it might pick up again in which case I’d be more than 3/5ths atm. Once I titrate out nic I’m gonna titrate out flavoring. Eventually it will be flavorless zero, and few people do that for more than a month

I mix my own, usually sweetener free, and rarely anything gunks up. I rewick everything after 60ml and I know what will gunk up my coil.
Super, I was thinking of vaping non- flavored nic. I did buy zero nic custard once and it was really clear as supposed to the amber colored nic juice. I really enjoy dessert flavored eliquids so I don't think I'm stopping flavors anytime soon. I usually replace coils every two weeks or sooner depending on taste...

I started vaping commercial juices, mainly custards. After a while I switched to diy with my flavours starting at around 10 to 12%. Now I'm down to a few drops of flavour in a 120ml bottle or flavourless. No real plans here-just kind of evolved over the years as my taste changed.
One huge benefit is wick and coil life. I go weeks without re-wicking some attys now and my coils last at least twice as long as they used to, or more. Another plus is cost - saves me a lot not buying flavours.

Nicotine starts out clear. Although depending on how it is stored, it can start to break down and turn amber. Above freezing temperatures, sunlight, and oxygen are enemies of nicotine. I suspect that some flavorings can also accelerate the break down.

Correct. Good nic also has no odor. When it’s broken down it starts to smell like an ash tray.

So what kinds of atties do I want to tr?

The blaze came. I got a Tauren for it which is ok I guess. It works as well as to a bit better than a regular tank. The impression I get though is to make this thing really sing you want multiple tanks though, and you wick and fill all of them and use them like cartridges. So I need probably two more tanks. What should I get?

This is even smaller than the 18350 ones? I didn’t get an18350 because I don’t have 18350s any more. The disadvantage I see here is you can ONLY charge it from the USBC, and when the battery wears out and needs to be replaced, you’ve got to get another special. Me, I like to be able to swap out batteries. I hate waiting. That one is smaller, but you can’t. Depends on how you like to do it I guess. The LiPo is still a potential issue. Is it proprietary? How hard to get is it? Part of the point behind billet boxes I think, is their long life. So the chance of wearing out that battery is high.

One other thing: the guy mentions some sort of “standard” Coil cartridge. Have coil cartridges become standardized? One of the reasons I didn’t like them is they were all proprietary.

Also: should I just get two more taurens? They’re ok but they don’t hold very much.

The problem with an 18350, at least for me, is the best ones out there on a good day might be able to output 9 amps and have a capacity of 1000 mAh. Vaping at 20 watts with an 18350 is really pushing it.
True. I'm not even super fond of single 18650s. Kinda like single 21700s double 21700s are too large imho. With a single 18350 mod you gotta carry a pocket full of batteries.

Still have no idea what to get Boro atty wise. I’d like to avoid getting the same one multiple times.

Ok. Im totally irritated with thunderhead creations.
There’s two sizes of torx on the blaze: a big one on the electrical attachment point and a small one for the PCB door. This is fine. They give you a longish torx screwdriver and a double headed Allen key with both the big size on one end and the small size on the other. This is also fine. What is not fine is THEY REVERSED THEM! The SMALL one is the one on both the screwdriver and the long end of the Allen key. Only the short end of the Allen key will fit in the electrical contact one (the one that needs adjustment) but while the small Allen key will reach but not fit, the other fits but won’t reach! So while there is terrific access to the part you don’t need there is next to zero access to the part you do!

Here is one of my clones, all pieces are clones, buttons, drip tip, rba. If they were OG the total would be just over $750 with the 21700 cell.
But the total here is about $181.
A person would be hard pressed to find any differences between them.
I'm all for buying OG if I could afford them but I work for a living.
