Oh-oh! I just noticed something between the Empire and the Stubby boards. I went by a number of reviewers who said the boards are the same except the Empire ones are 100 watt boards. Well then how come the Empire board has two screw connectors (where the larger gold plated screws goes) on the fire button side and one on the up/down side? The Stubby board has just the opposite.

Identical to the two Vaperz Cloud pics. I see now swapping out Stubby PCB for an Empire PCB isn't going to work. As the connections are in the wrong spots. Now I wonder what the board looks like in the Stubby 21. As the Stubby 21 doesn't have an USB port showing on the outside anyway. May not have an USB on the PCB either just like the Empire PCB.

Here is the pic Vaperz Cloud says is an Empire PCB. But this looks like a Stubby PCB to me and notice the USB bottom left.

Thank you for the pictures. So the only difference is the usb, and the additional twenty watts. I purchased my stubby mod from vaper cloud as well. I dont see any pcb's on the website.... Maybe you can sale me one of yours for backup.

Maybe one of the connectors isnt needed or used like the dna's shared ground. Idk but it needs to be investigated further. Have you tried a pcb swap to see if it actually fits?

This is one of the reasons you shouldn't sleep vape. Falling asleep with mods in your hand can be dangerous. I wasnt aware that my glass was cracked and been vaping this all morning...

@BillW50 Now I see what you mean. The contact holes are backwards on the Empire board, opposites to fire button and up and down keys of the Stubby.

I checked in Vaperz Cloud for a replacement pcb for the Stubby and its sill out of stock. I wonder if they are actually going to sale the pcb's for the newer xray modles. Seems like the ones in the pictures might be for one of the older model's, that's what I'm getting, I could be wrong...

Vaperz Cloud seems to want to be just a tiny operation, at least judging by the past. Customer service is virtually non-existent. They never seem to stock much of any one item. And many things, they stock once and that is it. They seem to me to be running Vaperz Cloud as a prestige thing instead of a real business. And they often collaborate with Suicide Mods in the UK and often carry the very same things.

And I remember Vaperz Cloud did stock Stubby PCBs just once and they sold out quickly (like in a few hours). And they never bothered to restock ever again. Just like what I expect from those Empire PCBs they had. They only had 10 in stock originally. I bought the first two (you have to check their site daily to catch these things) and it had taken a week to sell the other 8. If they were Stubby PCBs, I bet they would have sold out in an hour easy. If I were betting, I doubt Vaperz Cloud will restock either PCBs again.

The good news though, Suicide Mods does stock Stubby PCBs and I just checked and they have 126 left in stock. Both Vaperz Cloud and Suicide Mods does sell to other vendors too, so others might have the PCBs too. And from all indications, all Stubby PCBs are the same. Even the Xray ones.

Vaperz Cloud did surprise me with their Stubby Xray stock. In the past, they would would stock like 50 of each color and once they were gone, that was it. Although the Stubby Xray they had over 10 times more stock this time. So I don't know what is really going on there.

I quickly switched boros to have a go at the Stubby. I'm impressed at how they managed to somehow fit everything into one tiny device. I did build the Stubby rda but Im running low on juice with five mods in rotation.

Im glad that I was able to buy the mod here in the US. I would hate to pay money conversion fee's and shipping from UK. I'll continue to check VC for pcb stock. Thanks Bill for all the helpful info. On to the next! What's in your pocket and in your boro?

A simple Cthulhu with a Pioneer Insider. I'm really growing to like this setup. The Pioneer Insider is very easy to rebuild, as well.

Its been a long while since I've built a clapton coil. I took a go at it and built one for the stubby rda. Waiting to restock on new juice for this baby. All these years and its my first time using an atty with stainless rods. I forgot who was the first to cut wire rods and use them for wicking with stainless mesh on the tip. I'm sure there's a few old school hard core hellfire genny users that still use the rods.

A couple days in with the Stubby, and so far no complaints. I give you my honest opinion and always look for flaws. I dont have anything negative to say about the mod,
other than the mod feeling a little heavy but the size compensates for the weight.

Got an SXK clone of the Kayfun BB RDA. Just arrived today so haven't built it yet but the quality of the threading and engraving seems excellent.
Will post some photos when it's up and running.

Your the best pigs, I was able to pull one out the rabbit hole. I found like three, but If your not using them anymore I will take them from you. Do you use your Boxxer v1?

No worries. Nah I don't use it much these days. If I send you a few I'll still have enough for my own use if I ever decide to pull it out of retirement. I remember how easy it is to break the glass.
