You haven't seen down throttle in years? The dna 60's down throttle now..when you hit the fire button on a depleted battery you will see the wattage go from your setting backwards. So basically if your on lets say 36 watts, your going to see the wattage go down to like 20 someting watts with a depleted battery.
If your not seeing the down throttle, your not looking for it on the screen when your battery is low or your vaping above 1. ohms on very low wattage. Thats the only reason I can think of for you not seeing it..
The Stubby does it too so I dont understand how you haven't seen it.. I wish I knew how to post video's

So maybe it only happens to me because I use SS 22 gage wire with five wraps to vape sub-ohm? Maybe if I use a thinner gage wire to vape above 1. Omhs it won't happen?

My gut tells me its a safety feature that was implemented when people started blowing batteries up in their faces and I don't like it..

Oh I see it on weak batteries for sure. But I don't blame the mod (the Smok M65 example was a mod problem). If the battery can't supply the amps required for the output, it has two choices. Either throttle down or not fire at all. It just happened to me this morning on one of my Stubby 21 AIOs. Been using these Sanyo 20700B cells 15A 4000+mAh that I purchased back in 2018. I used to be able to use them until empty. Not anymore. One started throttling the Stubby at 40%. I'm vaping at 25 watts and the first vape in the morning it throttled down to 20 watts. The second vape it dropped to 15 watts. But this is the battery. It is old and tired and ready for recycling. Of course I tossed in another Sanyo. It's late evening now and the one I tossed in earlier is now empty. So that first one is all charged and I bet it will do the same at 40% again.

Since I like working with mod chipsets, I'm always going to prefer soldering, solderless will always have some risk of bad contacts.

Edit, I don't own Stubby, when I talk about tightening the contact screws well, it's that I see the patent as a weakness.

Solder is fine for some tasks. But I don't have a problem with screws and nuts connections either. All the wiring in my house uses screws for connections. Fusebox, outlets, light switches, everything. Even the light bulbs screw in. Automobiles are the same. Screws, nuts, and plugs everywhere to make connections. Heck even our builds aren't soldered in, but also uses screws. And most mods the battery isn't soldered in either. Could you imagine what soldering in a boro would be like! Who would buy one? So I'm all for screws, nuts, plugs, and sockets for connections. Even for boards. They generally work fine. Same could be said of solder.

I was thinking the same thing after my post that only gave a couple of examples - our whole electric and electronic world is ruled by push in and screw in connections that work pretty well for the most part.

Thanks mate.

I'm a big fan of Sturdy One, big capacity, easy to wick, great flavour.
The only negative I have is that as I wick's rba it always happens that I flood the deck when I fill the tank.
I solve it by letting the tank stand upside down for 10 minutes.

Yeah, that seems to be a problem when your down to half tank or so...That's one of the reasons I like the Mission DotMobb rda. You can remove the deck without having to dump liquid and take everything apart.

No, this SXK Ceto is news to me. Very Raga looking except the boro sits sideways. And I got really excited at made from Aluminum Alloy + PC claim. Asking myself is the body made out of aluminum? But then I noticed it weighs only 59g. An aluminum body would weigh over 100g. And looking at the army green version, you can see the aluminum C-frame clearly. But still for only $42.90, very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

That makes sense - the c frame is aluminium and the rest PC.
Looking at photos of the screen, I'm guessing this SDI 80W board is not the same size as the old SEVO 70 so probably couldn't be swapped out with a DNA 60.
Could be a nice little beater mod though

Yes I believe you are correct. Although a DNA80C might be doable. Although the larger DNA80C screen might be tricky. Either cut out the window or mount it outside with a frame.

Oh you bet! I wonder if vapor could be trapped behind the C-frame?

I'm pretty sure I'll grab one but on the fence between the white and silver Raga look and the army green. Then it would just be a matter of avoiding our nanny state borders

I would wait to buy until we see the dimensions of the DNA 80C. Buying a cheap Chinese mod is always interesting if we could upgrade with a good chipset.
80C doesn't have TC so in terms of that it's less interesting in my book, on the other hand it's interesting enough since it has replay

I understand what you're saying but I don't really agree. I have many cheap Chinese mods with proprietary boards - some better than others. SXK are at the top of those.
I'm currently vaping one of their (Sevo 70) aluminium delro clones with 9002 on the puff counter. I have one of their BBs (same board) that's been going strong for over 5 years.
I'm a simple vaper and don't need TC or replay to enjoy a device. As long as the build quality is good and the company has a good track record - both of which apply to SXK, then I'm happy to spend $45 on a mod that I like the look of.

A DNA board is a must for me. I had the opportunity to test a friends BMM .38 Special DNA60C. It simply spoiled me. I saw no chance of getting one even if I had the dough so I ordered a DNA60 BMM .38 Special styled from 3F. It should ship today. Even at it's greatly reduced price compared to the OG I think $129 is a lot.
Something I just now noticed is 3F claims the styled .38 with the DNA board is 3d printed nylon and the one with the Ambitions Mods board is made from PC. They must be from two different manufacturers.

When I said it was going to ship today (yesterday now) I meant it was going to ship out of China. I guess I was wrong.
