I started planning for the Vapocalypse back in 2015. The wife, who also vaped, gave me a nice sized monthly budget and told me "go stock-up on vape gear, pronto". LOLz, I did, and then some, and then some more ( and then..... more  ). I ignored the budget she set many times!!!

Honestly I do not need anymore mods or rba's. I stocked up real good!!! Got plenty of cotton and enough rayon to last several lifetimes.

Except........ being a vaper........... those gol-dang SBS mods ( I fully blame @DPLongo22  j/k DP, maybe  ), yeah, those snag me like the whole Boro/AIO thing snagged others. Fortunately I don't see anymore new SBS mods that I like < phew! >.

Every now and then when I see something interesting popup in one of the FB B/S/T groups I'll scoop it up.

But yeah, that's about it.

I know several of the folks in this thread have been doing DIY juices for quite some time. For those that aren't - - - the window is closing quickly. Jump on it now!!!

You can still purchase nicotine (but at a premium compared to just a few years ago). Getting nic should be ones highest priority. Here is an ECF blog entry of places still selling nic - it was last updated by Unclejunkle on 8-24-2024.

VG/PG and flavors will always be available (as there are many other uses for those). Best place in the USA for buying flavors is Bull City Flavors. I also purchase flavors from Nom Nomz (UK). They have the largest selection of flavors on the planet. There are a few other places in the USA I buy flavors from, but those two are the main ones. Here is a decent listing of where to purchase flavors from.

I never cared for retail ejuices, always thought they were way too sweet and seriously over-flavored. I started doing DIY within weeks of starting vaping in 2012. Fortunately I had friends who owned a local vape shop who made and sold their own juices. They got me going with DIY, learned a lot from them.

Making quality ejuice via DIY is pretty easy IMO.

As to vape bans all over the world? Yep, it's only a matter of time. The only things people will be able to purchase are stupid pod mods via Big Tobacco offerings.

At this point, I am well beyond saying "it sucks" or being ticked off about it. But yeah, vapers are pretty much screwed.

I mean in 2024......... "it is what it is".

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm pretty well set up too. Pick up a few things from time to time just because I feel like it. Got a few Z80's not so long ago. I feel no urge to experiment with new stuff "for a better vape".

I worry a bit about nic. I have 5L which should take me way past 100 at my miserly rate of consumption. Half of that should be enough for my likely life expectancy. But I live behind a levee which hasn't been maintained since 1930. I thought about storing a couple of liters off-site, but all my family are either fanatically anti-vape or they drink too much. Storage rentals with electricity for a freezer are garage sized and expensive. Really ought to stock a go-bag full of mods and tanks, I could throw some bottles in that when we evacuate. Everything else is replaceable.

I always suspected flavor manufacturers would be a good target for the banners. A few years ago some of them expanded their stock to include non-vape flavorings, like for food and candles, and removed the word vape from their sites. I bought a bottle direct from the TFA manufacturers site once just to try it out. They only had 4oz and above, but they will always be there.

Got a BB question. One of my BB's tends to flood a little after I fill it or rebuild it. Not a huge amount but the inside of the back panel and the mod surface inside get covered in juice. I noticed that if I left the back panel off that doesn't happen at all. If I leave the panel off for a couple of days there's no flooding when I put it back on. It doesn't happen with my other BB so I guess it comes from the insert. The one that leaks has a Xeta insert, the other has a KF.

Anyone know why that happens?

I blame the switch from bottom fill to top fill. Bottom fill worked just fine.

Top fill causes a slight pressure instead of a vacuum at the top. Thus, flooding is likely until a vacuum is created.

What I do is to top fill, button it up and flip the boro upside down. This causes what bottom fill did. This releases the slight pressure out the wicking since air doesn't flood the coil. Even if the boro is so full of liquid and it is at the wicking. That's ok, since the pressure is lighter at the top and more at the bottom. Air is still better.

Wait I dunno 15 seconds to a couple of minutes depending on the tightness of the wicking and the thickness of the juice. Should be fine now.

Put a tiny thin oring under the gasket.

Dicodes USA.......... yeah I wouldn't purchase anything from them. No-no-no.

@jwbnyc found info about them, initially saying they were in Malaysia and then a follow-on post saying "Dun and Bradstreet place them in Romania." See this thread and specifically this post and this post from July this year.

In 2020, 2021 and 2022 I purchased many spare parts from them for my SvoëMesto Kayfun lite 2019's.

I received all the orders. The last one took a while. I called them, "a place in Seattle", and was told my order was shipping from Nashville. Ummm, huh? :?: And sure enough when it arrived it came from someones personal address in Nashville. WTF?

There have been several people on ECF over the years who have had problems with Dicodes USA. I don't think they were ever a "real" Dicodes dealer. The authentic SvoëMesto RTA threads have several posts about them being a shady company.

Their main web page "kinda sorta" gives the "impression" that they are an official dealer for SvoëMesto, SQuape, Atmizoo, Sunbox, Dicodes and Taifun.

The best place for USA customers to purchase some Dicodes chipsets is Creme de Vape (UK). They have fair pricing for them. And sometimes they are marked down, other times one can get good deals on them via the advertised sales. Alternatively one can also order them direct from Dicodes (I seem to recall Tor purchasing direct from them).

Didn't you order some of those directly from Dicodes?
I have never bought anything from Dicodes US, they have a rotten reputation, and there is no one who beats service, shipping, and an extremely nice guy to deal with like Keith, that is Creme de Vape.

Yes, I bought two Dicodes Extreme EC-23 directly from Dicodes.
But they asked what I was going to use them for, and whether I had experience as a modder, before I could buy. Dicodes has a formidable service.
I think one will end up in a dotaio project, while the other will end up in a sbs project.
I consider myself quite done with boro, I manage with the Sturdy One of 4.2ml capacity, + it's just nice to look at.

My last Evolv DNA 60C will go to my rotten SunBox GameOver which already says low battery, low wattage, that with new battery and 13w.

Other than all that, I'm heading back to SBS and rta's. It has always been my niche, but I praise Dot and Styrdy

I'm not as heavy set as you, I have 5 liters of nic in the freezer, my consumption says I have until age 95.
Then I have around 400-500 flavours, which is small in the famous mixing thread.

I'm still ok on gadgets, around 42-45 rta kayfuns, dvarws, skyline-r, FeV's, Cabeos, atmizoo's, diplomats, gg, and some I forgot for sure.
Dicodes, 5xsbs, 1xmicro, 2xmini, 1x21700, then there are some evolv's too.
Dicodes 6xBF, 2xFL, 2xEC23, Evolv 3xDNA60, 2xDNA100C.
Around 40-50 high end 510's, and a few battery tubes, and some stabwood from Ukraine lol

I settled on the Series B DNA 75 from Jac Vapour in the UK as my SHF mods years ago, mainly because I had an opportunity to acquire some DNA 75 chips and the Series B is an easy mod to replace the board in. So, I have about Four of those and back up chips and screens. I don’t think the DNA 75c is compatable with the Series B. There are other boards available, as Tor has pointed out, including the DNA 75C, which would work with some of the more recent mods. You can build your own, but; I think the easiest thing to do is find a mod that uses a board you can get a hold of and then just replace the board if it goes bad. Or.. you can build your own.

Here you go my friend. I have a tiny clear silicone oring under. Use the tiniest oring you can find. You might pop a few orings untill you get it right. Remove the the gasket or whatever it's called. Put the tiny oring on, push it upward and then put the tanks big oring on top. I do that to all tanks like orbit, vapesnail or any tanks that you can flip over and remove the deck.

    20240920_101430.jpg

I have a tiny oring under the tanks big oring, no leaking whatsoever...
