I had a meeting with my supervisor today,she had nothing but praise for the staff that vapes instead of smokes.I have 6 others on my shift that have switched from stink stix to pv's and according to our supervisor our productivity has gone up 10 fold as we are not disappearing for a cancer stick every 10 mins,and I was the worst at 2-3 PAD.The employer is proud of us and I can tell you staff moral is way up now,it's actually nice to sit and have coffee in the ready room and vape our brains out instead of running out to ye olde fashioned smoke pit and stand in the crappy weather.My boss is back on my Xmas card list instead of my S@#$ list Cheers all

Sounds very encouraging. The company I work with seems to have o issues either. I sit and vape at the counter in between customers and they don't mind at all ........ like I am now.

I've been lucky the office I work in is extremely supportive of it, and the like the idea that its keeps me quit without being grumpy...lol. No one has had a problem with it even walking by while i'm vaping, most don't smell anything and the odd one that picks up a scent from it says it smells nice kinda sweet.

Great to hear! My boss and co-workers are very supportive of my vaping too, and I'm allowed to vape at my desk, so it's pretty awesome. I don't watch the clock waiting for my smoke break (which isn't really a smoke break anymore), I just vape when I need to, and my breaks are now just for getting some fresh air.

I'm also one of the fortunate ones. I work with two fellows - one is an ex-smoker and the other a non-smoker. When I got my PV's, I took them to work and showed them exactly what it was. They both thought it was the coolest thing and have no problem whatsoever with me vaping at my desk. The non-smoker says one of my juices smells like macadamia nut cookies to him, lol. Hmm ... now that's a flavor that would be worth having!! Especially if it also had white chocolate too! hint, hint.

Awesome. I got my boss vaping as well. I vape in my studio all day! (I'm an audio engineer). I vape halo's tribeca a lot. Every time someone walks in they say it smells like cotton candy. Hey.....whatever works!!!!!!!

In my case it has improved productivity. I would write an order, take it to the warehouse and have a cig or two. Now if you write 15-20 orders a day... adds up... My warehouse guys actually miss me out there shootin the... breeze with them !

I am soooo jealous! I received a two day suspension for vaping in the office and this prior to there ever being a directive on the issue.

Meanwhile the goodie two-shoes who claimed health concerns and threatened to invoke the right to refuse to work have moved on to other imaginary smells and odors that might give them cause to stay home and pound the pud as opposed to pounding the pud at work.

I was fortunate to work in an ecig retail location for about a year. I got paid to vape lol. Now I work mostly from home so I'm a fog machine.

That's awesome. While there is no way to vape inside where I work and I have to travel out to the smokers corner with all the smokers, I don't mind. I like to think of vaping as if I'm still a smoker, does something for my head. I have managed to convert 5 people over to vaping, which is nice, because now on smoke/vape breaks we can geek out over hardware and such.

Does anyone know if CBC 's Market Place has ever done a story on Ecigs?

I don't think they have, I've seen a few articles/videos on the CBC site. To date I can't say I have really seen a accurate and informative report in the mainstream Canadian Media, to many still include the hype from inaccuracies in the FDA report from 2009. It would be nice to see them do this with up to date information and references to the extent of research that has been done. One of the best articles I've seen was in the New York Times.
