in my office, when we are operating customer hours, they have asked me not to vape, not because it will irritate anyone (though i am convinced this edict is from one ardent smoker who is offended that i can vape but she can't smoke) but rather because it takes away from my work time as clients will ask what i am doing and that wastes 5 min here -3 min there...
i argued that it was still less time lost than goign out to the smoking area, but lost that battle... did get them to allow me to continue to vape in our break area and in the bathroom and whatnot... just not in the office itself...
basically, don't be obvious about it, keep it hidden from certain persons (ie the person who complained about it in the first place... i know who) and other than that, keep up the good work (they are proud that i quit smoking!)
