Is there a reason I can't use regular bottled water instead of distilled in a DIY mix?

Distilled water is best because regular or spring water contain minerals that interfere with your atomizers. Still, if you have no access to DW your next best bet is purified water.

Not only your atomizer but your lungs as well. They put minerals in bottled water to give it some taste.

If you don't have an issue with the lime and salt, I don't either.

I always have distilled water on hand for other reasons than vaping so it isn't an issue for me.

I also always have Everclear on hand, but for other reasons...
