Bottom coil rebuild help (Evod)

I saw a post somewhere on here about this and can't seem to find it now (I believe the post was within a thread talking about rebuilding coil heads), so thought I would ask here now that I am looking into rebuilding coil heads for my Evod. In rebuilding bottom coil heads such as for an Evod, someone was saying you can twist or tie two pieces of resistance wire together and get the same result as using resistance and non-resistance wire (preventing overheating/melting of the rubber gromet). I am wondering if I misunderstood that post? :blink:

When rebuilding bottom-coil heads I will make the 'legs' of the coil fairly long and bend the ends over and twist the doubled wire together. This decreases the resistance of the 'legs' and should help to keep the 'legs' from heating up and possibly burning the silicone gasket that most of these types of heads use.
