Hi Folks These are just some quick shots of the super ultra compact 18500 copper and brass squonker I mentioned I might build. Only had a cursory clean and polish so she's a bit grubby.
Sterling silver center post contact leaf spring and negative terminal.
It's small :)
All did not go exactly to plan, and the switch needs finishing, but here it is.

hi quigs !
just got in from the garage drilling session. drilled 4 6 -32 screws and broke the bit in one. so 3 out of 4 not to bad .
but on the atty center pin having problems my derringer is fin broke the bit . thankfully my lancia came out fine all the way .
find it harder to drill the atty center pin than the screws. what speed do you use for drilling ? using slow on the drillpress
what bits are you using ? im using titanium nitrate .. may be high speed bit would be better ?
I drilled my horizontal holes a little above the deck to not fully drain it .thinking the condensation would contaminate the juece in the tank 22 ml . where am I wrong ? this squonking is all new to me ...

another real beauty studiovap, did you weld that box together or braze it? is that an igo s?

Thanks TC, the box is joined using solder via a brule torch, when I first started making the copper and brass mods I wanted to use hard silver solder, but it is impossible to avoid annealing the metal and then you have a strong join in a plasticine box.
The standard solder is stronger than you might think if the join is well prepared fluxed etc, and you avoid annealing the copper.
And It's an Igo-L modified to a hybrid with a sterling silver pos post and the juice well ground and polished to a concave. I have yet to find an atty better than an IGO-L for my bottom feeders in general.

the igo s is a great atty, only thing that makes me not use them is the lose fitting cap, it vapes about as good as the best of the best single coil flavor killer atties out there and is as tiny as tiny can be. it also cools down really quick because it's so thin and so little mass overall. not to mention the all time best bang for the buck ever. it really is somewhat comparable to the chalice in a lot of ways and even beats it in both compactness and quicker cooling, yet is literally less than 1/10th the price. the igo s is a spectacular atty in more ways than one, I can def see why you hold it in high regard, the igo s is pretty amazing for what it is.

that mods so tiny it makes the igo s look huge :)

Major Edit: No it's not a IGO-S but an IGO-L, sorry to tired to read properly.
I do like the IGO_S though, but favor the L due to the extra room for my heavily wicked tricro coils, plus all the points you made about the IGO-S are true for the L, cools down quick, bang for buck, etc.
If that was an Igo-s it really would be a sub-miniature build LOL :)

IGO-L is 19.8MM Diameter, I was going to do a build with the s, I have two, I was going to do a 14500 build and the S would have been great size wise, but I couldn't get past the 700Mah and 4Amp bit, maybe for a lower wattage vaper, but I have to build things I would want myself or the whole drive and excitement just isn't going to be there, the new IMR 18500 will bo 18A and 1200 Mah, so at least for a while it's a true pocket rocket and that is worth making :)

I have been waiting to show the world Camila (The REO's name) for weeks now and have been getting pictures from my man John in Knysna on the west coast of South Africa where he has been busy with his tools creating this masterpiece! He was inspired by Capt Steve's work and set about modding a REO for me. And here is the result and I have to say I'm over the moon!

Came out fantastic Rob I'm so happy for you mate. Please tell John that he did an incredible job with this.

Will do! That will mean a lot to him because he follows you and your creations closely and thinks you can take the salt out the sea and put it back again! ;-)

I'm preparing something big (not in size) guys which will propably take me some time as it's a totally unique steel/wood design. It will require a heck of a lot of milling to make so bare with me and I'll at least post some "work in process" photos down the road.
Remember I do have a real job as well so please bare with me.

On another note I've recently scored some incredible lumber which you'll simply love. Truly amazing stuff.

As always thanks for all you support and encouragement

Is there a chance for you to detail your soldering process?
