Done, except I'm not sold on the door. I love that wood (cocobolo) but not so much the look with the body. Gonna do a spalted tamarind door if I can get it to stabilize well enough. That will take a week or two to settle down dimensionally.

Only thing out of the ordinary with the mechanism is the contact material: 1mm 6061-T6. Mechanical properties are just right, and of course it conducts really well. We'll see about whether it fouls at the contact points much more than plated brass, etc. Been using the mod for a couple of days now and so far no signs of problems.

As usual another very clean attractive squonker... I think we've come to expect nothing less from you. Very clean lines top to bottom. Great looking device. :thumb:

I am working on modifying an RX200 over to a squonk mod. I am taking pics as I go and I will post all of them in here I am done with the project. I will also provide the details of what I did at each step for those that are interested.

Best of luck with the project. Have you figured a way to use that board with only two batteries in series, or will you be changing the board?

Thank you. Didn't realize I'd crossed the "as usual" threshold. ;) Guess I've spent a lot of time in the garage lately.

I had to change the Joyetech 200 board over to a DNA 200 board to be able to do it after looking at the Joyetech board and realizing that I was not going to be able to run just batteries. I also realized that I could not change the programming on the board easily to run two batteries.

Ive been wanting to mod my cupti into a squonk/bottom feed. Any one have any idea how or if this could be done? Im sure it could, remove the glass tank and replace it with a bottle, put in a bottom feed 510, clip the wire that connects to the plate on the bottom that the rod/coil makes contact with to supply voltage and wire it to the 510. Seems like it should be pretty simple/straight forward, its just getting a bottom feed 510 that would thread into the cupti, and a bottle that fits. If anyone knows which ones would fit, id greatly appreciate it.
