Turbo that's sweet! I love that tip too! Looks comfy and adds the perfect amount of trim detail.

The next project is a 26650 feeder, I have an 18650/10ml.
I'm going for 26650/15ml. My dad works long days sometimes, some days he runs thru 4 18350's in a provari with a fogger v4. I'm going to see if I can make a 26650 that will last all day on a long day, without having to change batteries or fill the tank.

I have it about half done but I'm trying to decide how to make it 26650 bat/ 30mm atty or 26650/22mm atty I want to make it as small as possible obviously but it's also going to need to be able to take a ten ft. Fall onto concrete.
I have an awesome dna feeder in the works as well, but it's gonna be the last to get finidhed.

Thanks again for the kind words!

Now that's a lathe !!

Well done buddy, I love the look of that drip tip. In fact I had the idea to do the same outta SS if Craig doesn't have those Router DT's any time soon. Looking forward to see what you come up with over the weekend, please post pics for us. Great work

QUOTE=OthatGuy;14686672]I've been paying at the shop, will be all week / weekend ilk have at least one kickasz toy to bring to the table.
I made a new dt today, it's like an extended router tip but it's Delrin, and white, I love it.

That's real nice turbo, just enough wood protruding to contrast nicely with the mod and also make it comfortable on the lips. Love the airflow ring for the Chalice. All these small atties suffer by the lack of adjustable airflow and I think the boys making them are starting to realize that (see new Cyclone).

BTW where did you get the DNA 40 from? Are they up for sale yet because I didn't see them yet on Brandon's site

that looks like one serious lathe :) the delrin dt looks cool, wonder what you'll come up with over the whole weekend :)

I made a driptip from snakewood for my daily reo. pdib's gotten me to try my atties with no driptip's and one that I really like without a driptip is the chalice but I figured I'll ding up the edge of the chalice with no driptip and the edge is very thin and sharp with no driptip so I made it very minimal. it's almost like no tip but it gives me a much more teeth friendly wood edge and should offer some protection if/when the mod is dropped. I also made it as wide bore as possible to vape more like it vapes with no driptip. the wide bore does make a difference in taste and vape to me

I also machined a recess in the cap and made a brass airflow ring and drilled another hole opposite the original one to make it dual airflow. now a single central Z coil gets air from 2 sides, this really smooths out the vape in the chalice and reduces the throat hit, gives a sweeter smoother vape. this is my favorite atty so far and it's on my favorite mod so far which is why I use this thing every day everywhere

it's an ebony woodvil, I made the door for it in snakewood. love the way these woods feel. I sunk the dna20 originally into the side of the body and made a brass cap with stainless steel buttons, never got around to finishing the up down button pins in ss but probably will someday :) I've since updated it to a dna 40 though still no ss buttons :) the fire button is pretty tight on this one, I need to compress an oring to fire it so it never fires accidentally in my pocket, ever :) also I figured out an easy way to make the door lock in place securely. I recessed the magnet in the body and left the magnet in the door slightly protruding. now the door snaps into place and can't budge, only way to move it is lift the top edge of the door first, then it slides, otherwise it's locked into place. I use the heck out of this thing, prolly see's more use than all my other mods combined :)

Thanks, my buddy has a wild fab shop he does fabrication for food grade stainless, and he's a genius. we've been building everything from cars n dirt bikes to rc cars you name it since we were kids. Bottom feeders have been our main focus lately but I'm not totally recovered from a nasty car accident yet so the time I can spend in the shop is pretty limited. I'll be posting pics, if I feel up too it I'll start a thread on the build process fir this next 26650 feeder.
Thanks again for the kind words! Means a lot coming from someone with attention to detail you have, your work is fabulous!

Congrats custom, now get that thing off the dining table before she gets home or you'll be in the doghouse tonight buddy

You'll need a small vise for that because it's compound table is small and you won't be able to secure a bigger on it plus you'll have the issue of clearance for the z axis. Looks nice :toast:

Thanks Capt. I actually went back last night and looked at the thread where you posted the pic of that jig. I may very well end up doing that. I agree, zero tolerance is a must with that set up.

On the proxxon vise, if I'm reading the specs correctly, it only opens to 30mm.

The reo is 44.44mm wide.

I need to clamp the reo on it's back so I can get in there to recess the dna screen, like this:

Also, I need to remove some material from under the 510 connector. I'm sure

you had to as well in order to install the nut on the back of your fire button on the first vvg you modified.

This one's a little closer to the correct opening capacity, but still 2.44mm short:

I'm wondering if I could modify it to open that extra 2.5mm by taking some material off the back side of the jaw that slides.

Hmmmm...............

ETA: It looks like the second one has a removable face on the fixed jaw.

I may have just found that extra 2.5mm..... :D
