I am mixing just a straight Bourbon flavor it is currently at about 30% and the flavor is nearly non-existent. If I added a couple drops of EM would it bring out some of the bourbon flavor or no?
I have Kentucky Bourbon from the Flavor Apprentice I mix with FlavorArt Oak Wood. I mix it around 10% 60/40. Doesn't take much steeping and tastes very good - refreshing. I tried adding some cola but it just overwhelmed it. Whose bourbon do you have?
Ive only been playing around with DIY for a little while and sometimes with certain flavours going over 1-5 % is way too much, you would think using more would just make it too strong, but most of the time too much makes it unrecognizable. Try adding more pg/vg and see if that helps.
My flavoring is from DIY Flavor Shack (Dawn is the best!!) I mixed it originally at 10% and didn't get anything from it so I tried 20% and then 30% and I'm getting a little tiny bit of flavor of 30% but I feel like it needs something mixed in to try and bring out the bourbon flavor I think I may try a little vanilla see if some sweetness brings it out. It may have something to do with the fact that I drink whiskey with a little water in it and I'm looking for more of the sour mash whiskey(JD) taste than the bourbon(JB) taste
