Danny,

I appreciate the feedback and I'm not really debating. I talked to a distributor of the chip to get my information and parallel is the way I'm going to go. Like I said I don't want/need the extra wattage and have the 60W sled. My 100W devices have never seen 30 watts.

It's good to have options, now folks have a diagram to wire up their boxer either way.

I agree. For you will that sled and no need, better to wire as they tray shows. But your distributor is incorrect. Nothing like a picture to show that. You will not get any additional battery life in parallel vs. series.

You are correct that it can be wired either way (the sled is nothing more than a battery holder), but doing so in parallel will cause the +/- markings on the sled to be incorrect & important for the user to be aware of this.

He might be willing to do it. You'd have to a
I hate tape lol The new Lost Vape Esquare uses red tape to wrap around the batteries to pull them out :nah:

I'm thinking more akin to what Kanger does with Subox. They give you a piece of tape to put on the battery, so it matches the SuBox colors.

while it's great that mark411 and dannyben posted wiring diagrams. those drawings show the front of the chip. the adjustment switches and usb are connected directly to the chip itself (no wires). the fire button is wired to the chip and both pos & neg wires are red. If you look at the horiz picture posted both pos and neg wires to the battery sled come from the bottom of the chip eminating from either side of the cap. my suggestion to all is wire neg(chip) to 510 lug and also wire the neg 1107-1 battery clip to the 510 lug. there is not much room to slide the clips in and doing so keeps it all neat.

After a long conversation with Ginger Vapor about ship dates I ordered the grey boxer diy. I've been looking for another temp control after loving the sx performance. Didn't see a need to change platforms with the 350j working so good, so instead of another sx I went grey boxer and I can't be more excited. It will be a delayed fathersday gift to me.

When did they say shipping would happen? I have like 7 ordered.

It's a damn shame that because the kit is being sold by a vendor the entire thing got pulled down from Shapeways. I bought mine for $75 before it got the hook and I can tell you the balance of the parts weren't $100.

The chip is $80 and I would imagine the shipping from multiple vendors for the parts would be at least $15 so it seems perfectly fair to me as the kit ships free with all necessary parts to build.
