brand new bought ego-c kit have questions

I am a new vaporer.
I bought the ego-c starter kit.
Are there any extra accessories I need to be successful that don't come with the kit?
What is a cartomizer? Does this not come with it?
I am so confused. I do have the ejuice but is the kit by itself not good enough?

Hello and welcome to the forum!

A cartomizer is basically an atomiser and cartrige together. If you have an atomiser, and i think that with your kit you prob do, you don't need carto. You need battery with a carto, battery with an atomiser and tank, or battery with atomiser and drip tip. You can go with either one of these setups you like.

The ego c is a tank kit,you can use cartomizers with it,but I would start slowly and use what it came with,no sense in throwing good money over bad....that will come in time......so many gadgets and gizmos. I f the kit came with tanks which I am sure it did they are reusable,I would get a few more and other types of juice. welcome to a better life with e cigs

Okay, here's the skinny on the ego-c kits:

eGo-C and all of the other eGo-type kits I've seen are 510-threaded. This means that you can, in fact, buy cartomizers, clearomizers, etcetera for it. BUT. Your kit comes perfectly vapeable as it is. The C-type kit comes with an atomizer, with tanks, and so long as you have juice, you are good to go.

Now, everyone finds that for them, they will in time branch out. For my husband, this meant he went to cartomizers. He loves cartomizers. They're easy to fill and they're easy to use. I personally am not a fan of standard cartomizers, as I still taste the filling material that wicks the juice to the built-in atomizer in the carto. So for me, I prefer tank-types, and thus I use the tanks which came with my kit as well as "tankomizers" along the lines of the Riva-T tanks.

What I'd do in your position is to play around with your new kit when it comes. Familiarize yourself with the parts of that kit. Vape and enjoy with that kit. But don't completely limit yourself... over time, and I DO stress over time, experiment. Order a few cartos. Order a drip-tip and try dripping directly onto the atomizer. Order some different tank styles that fit on 510-threading.

The goal is not to lay out a crapload of money to get every possible option right this instant. The goal is to vape and to learn about alternatives so that when you DO have the money to try out other alternatives, you can.

Oh, and yes, the tanks are reusable. Just wash them with warm/hot water between flavors of juice and you're good to go. You may eventually need replacement tank caps, but those are widely available, and you shouldn't need them for a while.

Welcome vaprmamma. Your kit is complete as purchased. Work with what you have until you decide whether or not you like your C and the atomizer/tank combo. Yes, cartomizers are an option for you but if you decide you like what you have, stick with it.

You guys are awesome. I have another question. My kit comes with almost 2 of everything. If I want to give one of my ecigs to a friend, what else would she need that a standard ego-c doesn't come with. Here is what mine said it came with.

In other words, if it comes with 2 batteries and more than one of the other stuff, the only thing missing to share one of mine would be a USB charger and AC adapter? Or, does just the AC adapter charge the battery. does she have the have the usb charger too?

If it is like the ego t, you have to have the usb adapter to plug into the ac adapter. You may want to think about giving one away though. You really need 2 for when charging, and you will hear more than once that you need backups for your backups. When equipment fails, and it will always fail eventually, you do not want to be stuck with nothing to vape. I had a battery die about a week ago and I am struggling to get by with just one while I wait on my Infinity Pro to be built and delivered.

And to add to the advice on using the ego c- at least once a day and with flavor changes, blow the juice out of the atty. Just blow hard from the cone end (without the tank attached) through the battery connector end into a paper towel until no more juice comes out.

I never leave home without three vaping devices - better be prepaired than kicking yourself.

My advice - by youself at least one spare kit, could be the same or whatever, and by your friend his/her own kit.

At this point (while I have the eGo-T rather than the C variety), I have three standard 650 batteries, one 900 battery, four tank atomizers, two Riva-T tankomizers, two USB chargers, and one wall charger (plus extra empty tanks and replacement tank caps, of course). And I'll be honest... I have an atty devoted to cinnamon or spicy flavors, one devoted to menthol flavors, one devoted to coffee flavors, one for everything else, plus the two tankomizers (which hold my two most common all-day vapes), and I swap between batteries as needed. When I walked out the door to head in to work today for a few hours, I had essentially three units (two tankomizers, one Ego-tank) on me, and left the other at home. But I like to have a variety of flavors ready to go at a moment's notice... most people are a little more patient than I am.

Probably close to a grand spent total in 2 months...because I'm obsessive and totally OK with that!

*grin* Trust me, I wish I'd been given that advice to start out, because between myself and my husband, we're probably somewhere into the $600-ish range in the space of a month.

But I have what equates to two Ego starter kits and a 510 mini manual starter kit (which I'm probably going to pawn off on my mom to try to get her off the cigs), he's got an Ego kit and a couple Riva kits, he's got a cache of multiple cartomizers/clearomizers and I have tankomizers/cartridges/tanks, we've got a pair of vape caddies and we share a gorgeous wooden supply storage box from VapeLogic.com, and between the two of us, we're probably up to around 40 flavors of juice. Oh, and we also have the junky made-in-China automatic-draw mini kit he originally got me that started this, plus his Circle-K carto kits he got, but those are pretty much ignored now. Next month, I plan on picking up an inexpensive box mod (I found one for about $25 that I'm curious about), but I refuse to let myself spend any more money until AFTER next payday.

But, well, we have our own levels of obsessiveness, and realistically, I've decided it's a new hobby at this point. I'm pretty durned content with what I have at this particular instant in time, too, and while I'll likely spend more as time goes on, it's mostly going to be on picking up supplies of juice or getting more cartos for him.

And, if all else fails, I have a crapload of Altoids tins lying around the house, and I can always learn how to build mods in them!

I started with the Apollo Tgo kit, then bought the Ego C. I LOVE both of them but have come to rely on my Ego C more. You will want to make sure you have extra atomizers for your Ego and like someone else mentioned, make sure you carry a back up which doesn't have to be another Ego but something that works. I have an old cell phone case that I use to carry extra batteries and about 4 cartridges to get through the day. I tried the Tornado from Totally Wicked but it doesn't seem to be as good as the Apollo Tgo or the Ego C.
